Does the ovc not assign refs for league games?

No way, I hear the refs at Rock Hill are the vice principals brother, the math teachers son, and some guy who played for RH back in the 90’s. Lol

I guess we should get those refs for every game then, I don't know why we never did that before, seems simple enough.

away team has to sign off on the refs before each game. So they know who they are getting.

Parker was lights out. Just as impressive was his defense. Seemed to have a little trouble with the pass. Gallia will be throwing a lot. We will make the adjustments. I have faith in the defense. 3-1. Still have a few rough games but like what I see. Penalties were down too.

Congratulations to the Trojans and coaching staff on win #3.........I don't think there's any question that Portsmouth is playing the best defense it has played in almost a whole decade. So far giving up 18.5 PPG.......if they can keep the PPG average under 20, the Trojans could very well have a winning season. Talyn Parker was the difference maker last night. 4 big touchdown runs by Talyn was pretty much the PHS offense.

As far as bad calls costing Rock Hill the game, what really cost the Redmen the game were those 4 plays. Just 4 plays beat RH. Portsmouth is 3-1 because in the 3 wins, Talyn had a huge game on the ground. Against West, the Senators bottled up Parker and won 13-0.

Going forward, Gallia will be a tough game simply because of their QB McClellan. He singlehandily beat the Trojans last year with his feet and his arm. Big play after big play......and yet the Trojans only lost 36-35. Still, PHS cannot let McClellan repeat his performance from a year ago. If he does, it will be very difficult to come away with a win. Also, the Trojans must mix in some passing so that teams cannot key on Talyn.

If Portsmouth is to make the playoffs and challenge for the OVC title, the Gallia game is a MUST win. Beating a team with a winning record (Gallia 3-1) would be a huge boost of confidence for the Trojans. If PHS can get to 2-0 in the OVC, then they would have to be considered a serious contender for the league title.

GO TROJANS!!
