Re: Who wins Region 27?
They've played some good teams so far, and played decent it seems like from scores, but you don't get any points for close losses. They are sitting at 0-4.

Re: Who wins Region 27?
On friday Danville played a D4 school with 16 seniors while a lot of the other teams in the region are playing teams with 16 total players.Chieftain2009 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 2:19 pmThey've played some good teams so far, and played decent it seems like from scores, but you don't get any points for close losses. Is Danville one of the 8 best teams in the region, without a doubt. Will they get to show it in week 11, probably not, it what it is.

Re: Who wins Region 27?
You may have Lucas at the top of your rankings and they are good (and have a tough schedule) but don't sleep on Trimble. We really don't know what they have yet. Been a pretty easy road for Trimble thus far. Can't wait to see the match-ups this week between Harvest Prep (#1) vs. Bishop Rosecrans (#9) and Fisher Catholic (#4) vs. Berne Union (#7). Both games are big for Region 27.
And if Danville can knock off Northmor this week, they'll have a shot at the playoffs. That's a huge pts game for Danville

Danville is truly a top 4 team right now IMO but they've played a tough schedule and the record is deceiving. It happens sometimes.

Re: Who wins Region 27?
FC-BU is going to be a great game, and an even better event. Both schools absolutely ‘dislike’ ( ) each other, but they also manage to play it very respectable and classy toward each other. This used to be a very ugly rivalry, as recent as five years ago. Some of the stories I could tell would make the earth stand still, for a second!MillSt wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 1:19 pm You may have Lucas at the top of your rankings and they are good (and have a tough schedule) but don't sleep on Trimble. BU is coached by the former FC coach from ‘11-‘14; great, young coach who I felt got screwed at Fisher. FC’s two primary assistant coaches have been on the FC staff for 10+ years, and therefore were on his’. Lots of energy, passion, and heart will be poured into this game for obvious reasons... not the least of which are the obvious playoff implications.
As for the game: BU has a very talented running back, but he is stoppable (just tackle the correct way.) Good athlete at QB. Don’t know if Berne has any idea how to stop the [redacted] offense of Fisher, though.
We could have a 14-7 game in the Grove.
Re: Who wins Region 27?
1. Harvest Prep (4-0) 7.2000
2. Lucas (3-1) 5.4250
3. Trimble (4-0) 5.3000
4. Fisher Catholic (3-0) 4.4444
5. Southern (4-0) 3.9785
6. Green (3-0) 3.8333
7. Berne Union (3-1) 3.8000
8. Waterford (3-1) 3.0290
Even though Lucas hosts a 2-2 DIII school this week, it is gonna be tough to jump HP. They have a big lead.

Re: Who wins Region 27?
I believe you nailed #1 and #2. They met last year in round one and it was one point game. I think they met again with a final four berth on the line.formerfcfan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 12:18 am Power rankings after four weeks, anyone?

Looking at current standings and future games. Harvest will be very tough team to remove from the top spot going into the playoffs. If Harvest wins out, nobody will catch them. They'll have to lose for anyone to have a shot. That being said, Harvest does have 3 teams left on their schedule with a winning record right now, and one team sitting at 2-2. They could get upset but this is also why i said, if they win out they'll be the #1 seed without question. The question is, how good is Harvest? Their wins haven't been over powerhouses thus far, just bigger schools. Can't wait to see how it all shakes out.
Re: Who wins Region 27?
HP barely beat Worthington Christian who has a common opponent with Lucas...4-0 Galion Northmor. Northmor beat Lucas by 20 and WC by 22. I was at the Lucas v Northmor game. Lucas had the ball 5 times on Northmor's side and had two picks and three turnover on downs in the red zone. They moved the ball up and down the field, just couldn't punch it in. Moment of the game was late in the 3rd, Cubs down I believe 12 or 13. Lucas had it first and goal inside the 5 and had a TD called back on an illegal block. Northmor eventually has a goal line stand and gets the ball back. Three plays later their back took one 95 yards to the house. Ballgame. So, that gives us a slight indication that HP is likely comparable to Lucas.
