Ironton 62 South Point 13

Post by YOU'RE TIGER BAIT »

THE FIGHTING TIGERS LOST A HEARTBREAKER TO KY'S TOP TEAM IN A 14-7 LOSS TO THE ASHLAND TOMCATS THAT DROPPED THEM TO 2-2 AFTER 4 TOUGH OPPONENTS. AND SOUTH POINT HAS YET TO RING ONE UP IN THE WIN COLUMN UNDER THEIR NEW COACH. HOW DO YOU ALL SEE THIS OVC MATCHUP GOING.

If ironton cleans up some mistakes and keeps from having turnovers I think they are gonna come up like a mongoose that somebody held down and did a dutchrub on. I would not want to be ironton's opponent this week. because they gift wrapped the ball for the Ashland tomcats.

I think the tigers are gonna be fit to be tied after giving away this game to the tomcats. but they are very young and growing up each week. I think it may be a long night in the jungle for the pointers.

I don’t pay attention to the playoff ranking until week 9 and 10. I’ve been following Ironton a lot since the new coach. Seems they are in great shape and are young. Playing some good ball. But also reading they can not hold onto the ball and have a ton of penalties. If it wasn’t for that I bet they beat Ashland. They roll over south point easy. Use this game to work on ball handling and open the play book up a little. I really like the new coach and the passion he brings.

Turnovers cost the Tigers the chance to win against the Tomcats. They need to clean those up big time. Turnovers wont even matter this week against South Point.

I agree with you. It keeps a team motivated to see where they are and what needs to be done. I’m superstitious so I don’t mess with it till the end lol. I’d be a liar if I didn’t say I peaked at the regions after commenting.

Ok, I'll try to stay politically correct but respect is a given.

First game in 3 years for me and was it ever worth it, coach had them tigers ready to go, had some mistakes but those will get cleaned up, looked like Duncan was holding his leg, I think that was him, hope he is ok, overall tigers they really stepped up, looked like they left it all out there on the field, very proud of those tigers, future looks very very bright, great job coach Pendleton and to all of our Tigers!
