Marietta 42 Shenandoah 0
This game intrigues me as I’ve always wanted to see how a OVC school would fair vs Marietta.
Re: WK 6: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
Intriguing matchup - I don't remember Marietta playing many decent PVC teams. Their only wins have been against Morgan and Warren (both winless?).
A win for either team could bump them to a respectable finish. Zeps still can win The PVC.

Must win for Shenandoah and I think they get it done. They have one more loss coming (Fort Frye) but will take care of Morgan, Monroe and Caldwell. Will 6-4 get them in the playoffs?

I doubt that I watch Williamstown get handled by Belpre and they beat Marietta.

Looks like a best possible scenario for Shenandoah is to finish 8th and play F F a second time in week 11.

Unless there some upset I’m confident in those 8 making the playoffs.outerbanksjake wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 1:05 pm Looks like a best possible scenario for Shenandoah is to finish 8th and play F F a second time in week 11.

Calculate Shadyside at 8-2. They should be favored over Bellaire. An 8-2 or 7-3 Bellaire will give them an abundance of points.EasternDspy wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 1:19 pmUnless there some upset I’m confident in those 8 making the playoffs.outerbanksjake wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 1:05 pm Looks like a best possible scenario for Shenandoah is to finish 8th and play F F a second time in week 11.

Makes a big difference for Shadyside, hosting a game instead of traveling to Southeastern, where ever the hell that is !EasternDspy wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 3:16 pmAt (8-2) Shadyside would be at like 18.25outerbanksjake wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 3:03 pmCalculate Shadyside at 8-2. Shenandoah has been through the grinder, but winning out, including a win over Fort Frye, is not out of the question. They can still salvage this season.

I can understand The Zeps scheduling up to D3 Marietta but Marietta taking this game vs D6 Shenandoah is beyond me.
I can understand Marietta playing cross river Williamstown WV as they are a fairly good program and it makes for a great gate, but how does this game vs the Zeps even remotely prepare the Tigers for the back end of their schedule?
Because of this, I am hoping the Zeps win.

Maybe they don't, but that's why they actually play the games.EasternDspy wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:09 pmThey just don’t have enough offenseefarns wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:05 pm Shenandoah has been through the grinder, but winning out, including a win over Fort Frye, is not out of the question. Right on..Marietta has no business scheduling this game, even though they are Marietta. Doesn't matter how good Zeps and their overrated coach thought they were going to be, Tigers are crazy for scheduling this..no benefit whatsoever. I'd rather see Marietta win so the hall of fame coach ends the season with a best 5-5 or losing record.Mister Bee wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:20 pm I can understand The Zeps scheduling up to D3 Marietta but Marietta taking this game vs D6 Shenandoah is beyond me.

Last I checked, 5 is higher than 1 but we never told anyone we were going to be playing Week 15. For the record, your coach was 0'fer against us and ran his mouth about how good his team was then. Overrated.

All I heard Jesse say was that it was their goal to win the PVC and OVAC championship. Not that they were going to win, but that it was their goal. I don’t get all the hatred for him
