Re: WK 6: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
BobcatQB, I think you should be the adult here and not act so hostile towards a group of kids who are struggling (shenandoah). Our coach never mentioned week 15 that was current Meadowbrook coach Tweedy. The only thing Jesse said was he wanted to schedule this game so he could get some experience on Marietta's field before the playoffs. Jesse will get thing thing right, just watch.

Re: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
Shenandoah did do a lot of talking in the offseason. They haven’t beat Fort since Shane Crum was in the house yet they were acting like it was given that they’d win the PVC.
Re: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
Again, maybe some of these guys will learn to shut up, but I doubt it.
Re: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
Woohoo! A Marietta football thread has two pages! You’d think we were back in the Central Ohio league!
Win or lose we shouldn’t be scheduling Shenandoah, who may well beat us. They have a fine team. Shenandoah replaced St. Mary’s on our schedule, who did beat us in the annual “schedule a smaller school to try to get a win and a big gate” slot. The gate part worked, however our record vs St Mary’s and Williamstown has not been good. Marietta numbers are up and I can see the program getting better, but thank goodness Warren is down too.
If we’re going to do these let’s schedule Fort Frye, Waterford, or Belpre, the three that appear to be the best teams in Washington County this year. I’d bet FF and Waterford would bring thousands to Don Drumm for that.

Coach Schob’s brother plays at Fort Frye and from what I understand they don’t want that mess in the family. He’s a Sr do we might see that game in the future it would be huge gate as Fort travels well.

I know Ridgewood reacht out to fort Frye about a future week one or two... Hopefully that game happens. Two big dogs.

Never said a word about kids and certainly wouldn't describe my comments as hostile. Go Tigers.Cattywampus wrote: Mon Sep 24, 2018 12:18 pm BobcatQB, I think you should be the adult here and not act so hostile towards a group of kids who are struggling (shenandoah). I can't think of anything more bush league than pestering our math department about the football schedule.
Re: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
Marietta will win by a couple TD's, Tigers should dominate them really.

Re: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
Shenandoah Div.6 vrs. Marietta Div.3. Numbers alone should make this very difficult. Mayby the Gate makes it worthwhile?

Re: Shenandoah (2-3) @ Marietta (2-3)
When I was a kid in the early 60's Marietta was excellent in football, always played both Bellaire and Martin's Ferry. During my H S years later 60's, no. I can not remember the last time Marietta could be called a football power or even competitive over more then a year here or there.
