Alrighty then, so I'll take the D3 against a D6 most days except a MAC school. Warren in this one just by sheer numbers thenFANOSPORTS wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 2:41 pmThanksRaider6309 wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 2:25 pmThey have lost 20 in a row. I'd love to see Warren in the TVC. Vinton vs Warren would turn into a big rivalry
Re: Crooksville (1-4) @ Warren (0-5)
VC has tried multiple times to get warren on the schedule for football but they refuse. We even offered a series in basketball to get them to commit and they wouldn’t. As for this game, Crooksville plays in an extremely tough league. I’d give them the edge.Raider6309 wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 4:19 pm I'd love to see Warren in the TVC. Crooksville and Warren should have a very competitive game. A real toss up. I guess I would give Crooksville a slight edge.

Re: Crooksville (1-4) @ Warren (0-5)
Div-3 vrs. Div-6, Do they play each other every year? Do they have trouble scheduling Non Conf. games? I know Warren has been down in football for quite some time, but they would probably have twice the amount of kids as Crooksville.
Re: Crooksville (1-4) @ Warren (0-5)
They played last year (Crooksville won 47-7). Crooksville is used to playing bigger schools as they’ve been in the MVL forever; school size likely doesn’t phase them.
It looks like Crooksville had been playing Danville in their late season bye week (MVL has had a first week bye and then rotating bye the rest of the season due to having 9 teams), but their bye week changed in the last two years. They’d have been a mid-pack MVL team when they knew that was going to happen and my guess is it helped both schools fill out the schedule (Warren, basically being independent doesn’t have any guaranteed games).
Warren’s new coach is fantastic and the staff has a couple of the top coaches (at anything) in our district. It is tough to undo the last 4-5 years of culture, but the sophomore class has won at everything else they’ve done growing up. They’ve been thrown in the fire (beginning last year for a lot of them), but the next few years should look like a completely different program.
They looked so much better last week in playing Union Local closer than most expected; there are no gimme’s when you’ve lost 20 games in a row, but there are a few games left that could be a breakthrough of sorts. Hopefully it is this one.

Thank you! Had no idea what the situation was. Did'nt realize that Warren wasn't in a conference.

Re: Crooksville (1-4) @ Warren (0-5)
Why would Warren want to schedule VC in any sports since the TVC has made it clear how they feel about Warren. Problem is not solved as they join the ECOL.Dundas wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 5:28 pmVC has tried multiple times to get warren on the schedule for football but they refuse. Next year they will be playing Alexander, Athens, and Meigs. Nearly half of the TVC. I believe they’ll also be playing belpre in the regular season as well. That’s 4 of 10 games against TVC teams.justpassinthru wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 8:29 amWhy would Warren want to schedule VC in any sports since the TVC has made it clear how they feel about Warren. Re: Crooksville (1-4) @ Warren (0-5)
Is it true that VC has been the loudest voice against letting Warren into the TVC, primarily over the grudge about their leaving in the mid-80s? If so, maybe that has something to with it? (That’s been dropped on messgae boards several times; my question is sincere, not an assumption of truth.)Dundas wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 4:50 pmNext year they will be playing Alexander, Athens, and Meigs. Re: Crooksville (1-4) @ Warren (0-5)
Warren had enough votes to get in the TVC. But the Warren administration wanted in with Marietta. The TVC voted no on both Warren and Marietta. This is another stupid move by Warren
Re: Crooksville (1-4) @ Warren (0-5)
I don’t think so. Maybe in the past that was the case but I have spoken to our athletic director on multiple occasions about warren and the TVC and he has been in favor of them joining. Even with warren finding a conference to play in, I think a VC/Warren football series would be pretty competitive.enigmaax wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 5:07 pmIs it true that VC has been the loudest voice against letting Warren into the TVC, primarily over the grudge about their leaving in the mid-80s? Wouldn't it be something if Warren got accepted into the new league, plus earned there first win in over two years?
