Wellston 20 River Valley 0
Wellston 20 River Valley 0
Opinions? Wellston ran wild on a down Alexander team, still don’t see the offense as explosive I think Alexander was a bit over matched, unsure on River Valley. I’d say Wellston takes it by a touchdown or two.

Unfortunately I see Wellston winning, RV has 1 QB out hurt and another was ejected at the Meigs game, and the JV QB is a freshman and not up to a varsity level.

I felt all along that Wellston having played 3 of there 4 games against tougher teams would have the upper hand with Alexander. I didn't look for it to be that one-sided, but you just never know. I think that they would be feeling pretty good about themselves right now. With the chance to get there record to 3-3, I think they will keep RV winless on the year.

What is rule on a player being ejected? Do they sit out games after?
RVs starting QB, Junior Jordan Burns was ejected vs Meigs. Raiders have no real backup. After Burns was ejected, they use two players that had never played QB. The JV QB is a freshman that is just starting to learn position. If Burns has to sit out, not good for Raiders!

I also wonder what the Rules are for being Ejected?RVRaiderFan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 9:45 am What is rule on a player being ejected? Do they sit out games after?

To my knowledge if a player is ejected they are required to sit the next game.

I know the link says girls basketball but after reading, it appears this is the same policy for all varsity sports.

Re: Wellston (2-3) @ River Valley (0-5)
Unfortunately yes Jordan burns has to sit out this Friday’s game . He got the short end of the stick from Friday’s nights games. He never had any personal fouls or anything and he got ejected for shoving a kid that was in his face taunting him . In the regard if it was that bad both kids should have been ejected . But he will be back against Alexander .

Hang in there Dad. It seems like its always the last one that the officals ever see. Its not easy to not want to react when someone is up in your face.

Re: Wellston (2-3) @ River Valley (0-5)
Exactly and I’m not saying what my son did was right . But the third quarter alone ran 1:06 mins long. The refs were throwing flags then had to ask the kids who did it . It got frustrating for everyone players and parents in stands but too take a game away from a kid when the refs let the emotions build that high is stupid . Rv has a lot of key players out with injuries and slot
Of young players playing . The kids are fighting and competing in every game .

River Valley will play tough as always. Rockets will continue the aerial assault this week. Looking forward to an injury free game for both teams.

This rule should be different for football since the season is only 10 games. Should be a half.2Time wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 12:13 pm I know the link says girls basketball but after reading, it appears this is the same policy for all varsity sports.

I agree about it only being for a half. Also unless it was weather related, over 1 hour for a quarter is way to long. If for whatever reason things were getting tense or whatever, the officals should have called the Captains together, and explained that the next problem would then result in ejections for both teams.BlizzardMan wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 12:13 pmThis rule should be different for football since the season is only 10 games.
