Portsmouth West 26 Minford 15
Re: Portsmouth West (4-1) @ Minford (5-0)
No it is not, and it will be fine for Friday. No rain in the forecast and it will be 75-degrees on Friday with great game time weather.

I would think by the 2nd quarter there will be very loose/slick spots on the field. We've had a ton of rain and there wont be much sunshine or wind today or tomorrow to help dry it up.
Thats the beauty of playing on natural grass.......just like the game was designed!

If the field is mud or loose West has the advantage because of their line is big and physical. Rain up until 10pm tonight and Minford field stays wet and muddy for days!

Jolly these people are getting on u bad! Ur on dope? And ur in class? Lol. They don’t have a clue do they?Jolly P(irate) wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 9:52 am I agree with the turf thing. Every school should have it IMO. But it can be advantageous to have a natural surface when a faster team comes to town and it goes uncut for a couple weeks.

It all started last week when RACELAND had a person have three new accounts!!Hylander wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 7:55 pmCan we PLEASE stop making these fake accounts trashing one school? It's a bad look.
Anyway, I don't know much about Minford but I think the weather will play a big factor into this one. Hopefully it's not as bad as 2015, but that did turn into a really good game.

No rain in the forecast. It rained a big part of the day on my side of the county. It will be a muddy mess.

Wish every school had the money for turf hopefully Minford is already in the process of doing some fund raisers and saving money to install turf in The near future hopefully West is also

At one time I believe West was talking about it. Don't know if they still are or not. Northwest will start on theirs the day after the last home game in 3 or 4 weeks. Northwest will also have a indoor facility with 30 yards of turf.Burgfan/grad85 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 8:19 pm Wish every school had the money for turf hopefully Minford is already in the process of doing some fund raisers and saving money to install turf in The near future hopefully West is also

Really hope the field is sloppy lol. Hows the parking? Never been to Minford and plan on making my first trip... Also how is the cell reception?

Great cell service. Parking will be good as long as you get there before 6:30......maybe a little sooner since West and Minford will both have big crowds.

Parking is kind of bad. I would say get there by 6:00 tonight. Save yourself some trouble. Should be a big crowd.Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 10:58 pmGreat cell service. Well homecoming is tonight and I believe they do it before the game so get there before 6, or right at 7 because generally some folks show up to see their daughter/family member for homecoming and then leave prior to kickoff. Whatever the case, it will be a packed house with great weather for fans. Field will probably be soft, but I doubt too much mud for at least the first half
Prediction: West 21 Minford 20
Minford misses PAT, kicker slips!!!!!!!!!

It has been worse, one end is always wet and sloppy the other is pretty good and drains well
Re: Portsmouth West (4-1) @ Minford (5-0)
Yes, it would be awesome if all schools had 500,000-750,000 sitting around.Burgfan/grad85 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 8:19 pm Wish every school had the money for turf hopefully Minford is already in the process of doing some fund raisers and saving money to install turf in The near future hopefully West is also
