I’ve noticed that too. They have heavy hitters at the DE’s and small quick kids in the middle. I’m sure they’d adjust to a bigger front if the game was closer and needed a few stops.fbnut wrote: Sat Sep 29, 2018 7:02 am Burg needs to figure something out on the inside of that D. Every game all night long they have players driven 5-10 yards off the line and many times pancaked. A team that is capable of running and has a passsing game is going to hurt that D. Burg has A bunch of weapons to defend on O. Don’t like seeing the QB run the ball when your up big in second half. He goes down the burgs in big trouble.

Waverly will need their absolute best performance to have a chance.
Re: WK 7: Wheelersburg (5-1) @ Waverly (6-0)
Tigers are the walking wounded right now. Hoping for a better report than expected.
Waverly’s offense will have to be firing on all cylinders next Friday night. Huge difference last night when E Wolf returned in the 2nd.
He’s someone that requires a lot of attention, even if the ball isn’t going to him.
Snodgrass played the game of his life last night when Brown went down again. Tigers are down two lineman, next man up.

Really? Lol! This is going to be a good game and will take 4 quarters of good football to win this game
Re: WK 7: Wheelersburg (5-1) @ Waverly (6-0)
Brown out in 3rd Qtr, Marquez out in 1st Qtr, Sweptson out in 2nd Qtr and Welch allready out. Countless others banged up last night. Gonna take some adjustments to fill all the holes. With all the ones that went down last night Waverly backups definitely stepped in and stepped up.smurray wrote: Sat Sep 29, 2018 10:34 am Tigers are the walking wounded right now. Not to mention E. Wolf being out for most of the first half...... He should be fine for next Friday..OldTiger wrote: Sat Sep 29, 2018 10:54 amBrown out in 3rd Qtr, Marquez out in 1st Qtr, Sweptson out in 2nd Qtr and Welch allready out. From afar, Wheelersburg 63 Waverly 13.
The Pirates simply have more depth, experience and talent than the Tigers.
Still Waverly has surprised me with their record to date. Given their personnel losses from last year and despite injuries, the Tigers have reloaded instead of having to rebuild. The problem for all SOC2 schools is that Wheelersburg is simply better.

Well, bad news for the Tigers...... Zack Brown is out for the season - Facebook post lists the injuries much worse then the one he just came back from. That young man cant catch a break. With Welch already out Tigers are down two O linemen.
Waiting to hear news on Cobe Marquez but that wasn’t looking good either. He was to play a few series of D last night to get him back into game speed, holding him out of the offense. When E Wolfe went out Marquez went in. He went down injured on that first series..... UNREAL!

I hate hearing about the injuries. I wish those kids well and hope they get to play again this season. However, it seems that Waverly get hit with the injury bug every year? What is going on up there?

That really stinks about Brown he was having a really good game. He opened up some serious holes last night.smurray wrote: Sat Sep 29, 2018 3:52 pm Well, bad news for the Tigers...... Marquez I believe is in a boot after reinjuring his ankle. May be able to go after some rest, but not sure how long.
Sweptson should be back. Turned out his arm was not broken. Tendon sprain in his wrist and some cartilage damage. He’ll be in a brace for a few days.
Re: WK 7: Wheelersburg (5-1) @ Waverly (6-0)
Hate to see Waverly not at full strength if they were I could see this game shaping up like the 2016 game when Burg last played at Waverly however they aren't and it's a shame

Smurray, you may have said before and I missed it, but are the Wolf boys brothers? Also, what grade are they in school?

They are brothers. Easton and Phoenix. Easton, #23, is a senior. Phoenix, #21, is a sophomore. Both are very nice players on both sides of the ball.VetteMan wrote: Sun Sep 30, 2018 6:00 pm Smurray, you may have said before and I missed it, but are the Wolf boys brothers?
