no way osu can be worse at q.b. than michigan was.
Thier back up couldn't start when he was in high school.

Wells will be a good back in the nfl, how good probably will depend upon his health. While he is very good between the ends he has not been a factor in the passing game or getting outside very often. Wells would probably be best served in a system where time is split among backs. Many nfl teams use committee backfields. Wells along with a back who is smaller and quicker would probably work best.

You must have completely missed 2/3 of my post.

If Bowserman leaves so he can get playing time,
that leaves Pryor with no backup.

If Pryor gets hurt, OSU has no QB.

This makes it much worse than this years Michigan QB situation.

Bucks will need a QB for the 2010 recruiting year. No QB this year probably because they know they would sit the bench for the next two years and start their third year. No one is going to bump TP like he did Beckman.

Wasn't Coach T. with a highly rated QB yesterday? I know this was a top sports story on the local news yesterday.

I dont want the Steelers to take Wells,I would rather have them take Knowshon from Georgia....Let Beanie go to the Browns that way the Steel Curtain can welcome him to the NFL. Good luck to him though because 16 games is alot longer than 12. 8)

if tressell was trying to push beanie out the door it wasnt because berry, it was more than likely because with pryor osu will be going to more of a spread, option based offense. its better to have a slasher at Rb when you run the spread. which it where herron and berry come in

I guess we will find out since he announced yesterday that he is going pro. I would not mind him becoming a Browns RB.

NCF, who is this QB you speak of?

Where do you think he may go? Who will take a chance on him? I think he will be successful, but for how long, I can not say.

#5 Pick for the Browns, Who do you think would be a good pick? You say LB and the two that pop up in my mind are Laurenitis and the USC guy.

I like the idea of getting Jenkins. That would be great. Either one of the two, Jenkins & Ray, would be great actually.

It's sad to see him go....but what can you do, what can you do??? This young man has provided the Buckeye faithful a truly great 3 years. Hopefully he does the same in the NFL...it's been a pleasure to watch him the past 3 years.

Tahj Boyd. Five star QB from Hampton, VA. He is supposedly down to OSU and Clemson. You can just google his name and look at his profile on various recruiting sites.

As much as I hate to see Beanie leave, it is in his best interest. He has 10 siblings and comes from a family that isn't what you would call "set" financially. I honestly think Beanie wanted to return to OSU, but he knew that in order to do what is best for his family, he needed to go. He has struggled with injuries, and as a RB, he's going to take a pounding in the NFL. It's best to make the money while he can. In addition to that, the NFL is proposing a change in rookie starting salaries and signing bonuses, which will significantly lower the amount of money that draft picks will make right out of the gate. All these factors meant that Beanie had to go.

I'm definitely going to miss watching him on Saturdays. I've been an OSU fan my entire life and Beanie is quite possibly my favorite player ever at OSU. He was definitely injury prone, but I feel like he gave everything he had when he was on the field. He carried the Ohio State offense the last two years and I think he gets a raw deal when people question his heart. The guy begged Tressel to let him play when he was hurt this year, he played hurt all of last season, and was asking to go back in the Fiesta Bowl with a concussion. There's only so much you can do when the training staff is holding you out, and head injuries are nothing to mess with.

In the end, Beanie will go down as one of the best RBs to ever wear the scarlet and grey. His stats overall, and his performance in most of Ohio State's big games, support that fact as well. I wish him continued success at the next level. If he does stay healthy, he's going to be a very good back in the NFL.
