The Future of the PVC
The Future of the PVC
Frontier is leaving starting next year.
That leaves Shenandoah, Fort Frye, Caldwell and Monroe Central with Monroe Central expected to make the leap soon.
Where does the future of this league lie?

Re: The Future of the PVC
Hate to say it, but most likely the league will fold before too long. I keep hearing talk about Fort to the TVC, but I’m not sure if that’s what Fort wants or rather what the TVC wants. Only way the PVC stays alive is if they can somehow convince Barnesville to join.
Re: The Future of the PVC
Why Frontier leaving?? I know they have struggled as of late, but are they leaving for another conference??? Seems a bit sudden!

Re: The Future of the PVC
Frontier left and will be OVAC only from now on. They should play most schools in certain sports but it will be up to the coach of that sport. They will play Fort in basketball but not Football.

Re: The Future of the PVC
Mark Cook of Barnesville and Aaron Bates of Buckeye Trail need to strike while the iron is hot and work on this league. Get Leffingwell involved at Shenandoah and make this happen.
I 70 and I 77 Interchange League
Buckeye Trail
Union Local
Barnesville
Newcomerstown
Caldwell
Fort Frye
Shenandoah
Monroe Central
You play 7 conference games and three out of conference.
Week 10 games
Shenandoah and Caldwell
Barnesville and Union Local
Buckeye Trail and Newcomerstown
Monroe Central and Fort Frye
I 70 and I 77 Interchange League
Buckeye Trail
Union Local
Barnesville
Newcomerstown
Caldwell
Fort Frye
Shenandoah
Monroe Central
You play 7 conference games and three out of conference.

Trail and Barnesville will get invites it’s only hope for the league. I’m sure Union Local would be welcomed if they are interested.

Love this idea.
Re: The Future of the PVC
The longest trip is probably Newcomerstown to Monroe Central which is only 68 miles. Just promise Newcomerstown they will not play fort Frye and Monroe away in the same year.

Newcomerstown needs a new league. Buckeye Trail is not happy. This league almost guarantees winner goes to playoffs.

Monroe is leaving PVC as well
Re: The Future of the PVC
Probably safe to say that the Trail community would support that. Puts them in a league with traditional rivals (although I don't think they have ever played UL). Easy travel, etc.

Re: The Future of the PVC
Maybe there is a chance Fort could try to bring Waterford with them when looking for a new league. Save Waterford trips to Wahama and South Gallia.
Re: The Future of the PVC
I couldn't see that happening, waterford with frontier were the door mats of the pvc. Couldn't see them wanting to get in another league since they have been competitive in most sports in the hockingindianabuck wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 8:24 pm Maybe there is a chance Fort could try to bring Waterford with them when looking for a new league.
