Gallia will go into this game and win. Ironton Is not enough to stop the boys in blue and white. They are on a roll and quite frankly should be undefeated. ironton turns the ball over too much and is not disciplines. One player can not carry a team against Gallia. That parker kid from portsmoth you all are talking about is a bigger threat to ironton than gallia is to ironton, yeah he found that out, parker rushed for 60 yards against gallia. Gallia wins by 2 td's. Gallias defense is too much and offense has tooo many playmakers/weopans ironton can not guard.

Gallia 329 151 points. They average 41 and give up 18 a game. Gallia is not physical

Power vs finesse, at the tank, handled Gallia at the preview and Ironton hits so hard you feel it in your bones. It's a no brainer
I think if you go ask the blue devil opponents you will not here them say finesse at all. Gallia is very much a power football team very physical. And no offense but we are happy that you are happy that you handled us at the preview. On offense Gallia played 5 starters a quarter. QB 3 receivers and center. On defense blue devils played 7 starters for 3 snaps. The rest of quarter had 4 starters or less on field. So I sincerely hoped you handled are I’ve and freshman.
I haven't seen the Blue Devis play in quite a while, but they are not anything but physical. This will be a new installment of an old SEOAL game between two physical teams. It was back when and will be again this Friday. I still predict an Ironton victory but it will be a back and forth game for 4 qtrs.

Gallia wins this one. Why do they win? It’s really simple They Are Better!
Same for the Fighting Tigers from all of the experts up the River :D

Haha. You’re simply delusional.
I don't believe Ema's from Ironton.

I'm taking Gallia by a score. Maybe two. Close for three quarters, but Armstrong breaks a big one late and tames the Tigers. GA 33-20
Campbell is the big runner in this one.

Hoping for an injury free game. Two of the top 6 or 7 teams in SEO going at it.

The Four Headed Monster moves to 8-1 on the year.

Is the Armstrong kid any relation to the Armstrong that was a QB for the Blue Devils in 1979?

I have no idea, 79Tiger. I'm only a few years removed from GAHS, myself.

I think they can lose 2 and still qualify if other things go their way. As in, Other possible teams that are in contention, don’t have teams they need to win, WIN. (Non-first level points)
I also agree, the P-Town game will be harder for Ironton to prep for!
Ihs sounds/looked dinged up on grove FB broadcast, and I think this will be a factor in these next two games!

Good luck tigers!!

Gallia would need basically the perfect storm to keep them out of the playoffs even if they last the last 2

I’m skipping fairland-CG which I haven’t missed in quite a while to come see this one. Carrico will be the best player on the field but can Ironton get some production elsewhere if they limit him. That’s the key to this game.
Gallia has several options to go to but none of them are as talented as Carrico. Irontons defense is stout. If they play smart, turnover free ball they win this one 28-21

I think maybe we see the blue devils totally set Jacob Campbell loose in this game. If they give Campbell the big green light see that also give number 7 the green light to throw deep and really see this offense open it up.

Your saying the best player on the field will be a Sophomore. Ironton isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I think a new dynasty is brewing in the BIG I...

This should be a great game.
I intend to be at this game and look for a hard hitting game.
Ironton only had 5 penalties called against Coal Grove but they was at key times for 60 yards.
As for fumbles they fumbled 3 times losing 2 I believe also a interception that cost them possible points.
Ironton plays smart and limits both turnovers and penalties then I believe they will win.
As for Gallia they need to keep Ironton having 10 minute drives that result in 7 points and for Ironton to play catch-up.
I do anticipate a great game and may both teams come out healthy

Ironton will have their hands full Friday but I do believe if Ironton can limit the penalties and 0 turnovers they can get it done. I think Gallia is better than they get credit for so IMO if Ironton wins it will be an upset.

If I’m a Blue Devil coach or player I wouldn’t want to show my face around town if they lose. Going to be some tight rear ends getting off that bus at Tanks on Friday.

Conversely, Ironton shouldn’t feel any pressure based on comments from the Gallia Academy posters. They should be able to play their game since they are the decided underdog here. That should play nicely in Coach Pendleton’s motivational tool chest.
