Re: Ohio State will not self impose bowl ban
I'm awed by the arrogance of Gene Smith and the OSU administration. If there is any year to ban yourself from a bowl game this is it because your going to be a 6-6 team, you'll be lucky if you get invited.

Don't self impose anything!! What has that gotten the Bucks. It's all about the NC Game in todays world.H3LL lets learn to cheat and not get caught like the rest of the teams.Lets find that gray area and work around it.Go with your team win or tie and when you win it better be by thirty.

Re: Ohio State will not self impose bowl ban
Why should they self impose more penalties on themselves?
Auburn, Oregon, Bama, LSU, Penn State........they havent self imposed Bowl Games penalties. Why should OSU?
They already self imposed enough. If the NCAA feels differently, they should then act which OSU would soon appeal since "Failure to Monitor" has not resulted in a bowl ban to my knowledge in the past.
And "they will be lucky to be invited"? Seriously? They travel as many fans as any other college football program. They get great TV ratings and are STILL on a national stage as far as football programs are concerned.
It only thing I am awed over is the Big Bad NCAA. They have became a joke over the past 5 years. Penalizing current innocent players and future players has always rubbed me wrong. If the NCAA wants to regulate specific situations, they should force teams to dismiss specific players, not penalize kids that are still in high school.

Why punish yourself if the NCAA is not. I think it is the right call by OSU.
