Jackson’s starting Quarterback #12 Junior Jared Icenhower has several D I and DII schools interested in him. He goes to camps, works hard. He is a smart player - knows the game. He is dual threat. One of the players told me that ICE was the starting quarterback in an all star game in Texas a few years ago and was in the finals in a national quarterback competition. His Dad is like 6’8” and the kid is strong for a qb and has a great arm. Great humble kid!

kids throws a lot of interceptions though.

Colleges love quarterbacks who throw lots of interceptions. Just look at how many interceptions are thrown every Saturday

D 1 can award 85 full scholarships
D 1AA (still call it that) can award 64
D 2 35
D 3 Not a single athletic scholarship

Doesn't appear to be any candidates for 2019 and 2020; let's see what 2021 and 2022 bring to the table in a couple years.

Not SEO but the Greenup County QB (5 min from Green and 10 Burg) is getting looked at by Marshall.

Most QB that are looked at usually have some height to them.

If you are 6'0" with 3000 yards are you looked at before a 6' 03" or better with 2000 yards?

There are exceptions but most Major DI collages go after the tall QB first. Won't see too many Barrows come around and that is in the whole state.

Athens is every 10 years so the next for SEO will be early 2020’s

1. Ben mauk
2. Maty mauk
3. Bobby hoying
4. Todd Beckmann
5. Zack dysert
6. Conley From lcc mich st beat osu
7. Kid from coldwater played a Miami of Ohio
8. Betkie from Marion local went to Pitt then transferred to findly
9. Kaizer went to Notre dame
10. Need to confirm how many from Newark Catholic went from the 80s licking county fan

Off the top of my head that’s what I have. Plenty more went for other sports or went for another position but for non d1 high schools that’s what I came up with. Not a long list I know there must be more but it is very hard to go d1 power 5 or not.
Couch from Newark Catholic played at Illinois.

Grant Gregory of Athens played at S. Florida and Kansas State.

Joe Burrow from Athens played at Ohio State/LSU

DeShone Kizer from Toledo Central Catholic played at Notre Dame.

Tons of Non-D1 high schools have sent kids to D1 schools to play quarterback. But it IS pretty darn rare in SE Ohio.

Lichtenburg
Gregory
Burrow...

We'll just have to wait until there are some new coaches on Frank's staff at Ohio University.

In the class of 2018 there were only 3 QBs in Ohio that signed a NLI with an FBS school. There are over 700 high schools in the state of Ohio. The way it stands right now, there are only 2 in the class of 2019.

You forgot Kaheem Maxwell. He was QB his senior year. Frank and his staff are getting old

It's about time for a new OU coaches kid to join the ranks somewhere here in the next few years (i.e. Lichtenburg, Burrow) as that's what it takes to get them in the playoff picture historically.
