2006 Michigan lost to #1 Ohio State by 3 while #3 Florida wins the SEC.
2011 #2 Alabama lost by 3 November 5 to #1 LSU while #3 Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma.

Florida made the case for who they beat, not who they lost to because they lost to then #24 Auburn.

Alabama played 3 top 25 teams and while Oklahoma State played 5 and won them all.

BTW, Iowa State is not gawd awful either.

Oklahoma state also won their conference and just beat in state rival and #10 Oklahoma by 34 points.

I'd say it's a toss up on who gets in.

I'd like to see OK State get in and see how well their offense and LSU's defense stack up against the other

I'll gladly watch it. I love the type of football that is played in the SEC. As far as the SEC teams having no offence, LSU's didn't look to bad against the Pac 12, and Big East champs'. The spead has ruined college football. Every team in these non national title winning conferences, look the same. The SEC will continue to win national titles because these spead teams can't withstand the physical beat down that SEC teams administer. Smash mouth teams get all the big power backs because they know that they will get to run the ball. They also get those good six-five, two hundred, forty pound QBs that you don't have to simplify the offence for. Smash mouth football rules.

Of course LSU will face off against Bama in the natl' championship game.. who wants to see LSU beat some weak sister from the big 12 45-10 ? Losing to Iowa St should disquailify you from being natl' champ . ask vegas if OSU would be a favorite over bama , of course not, send the best team to play LSU , send Bama MD

Yes, Alabama lost at home while Oklahoma St. Lost on the road after being informed that 2 coaches from the BB team died in a plane crash. You know that had to affect them somewhat. So if Bama gets beat at home and is the 3rd best team in the conference why should they get a rematch?
