Let's face it though, with the money to be made in the NFL you can't hardly blame these kids and their decisions. I can't say that if in the same situation I wouldn't make the same decesions they are.

I cain't help how I feel. he seen this writing on the wall n bolted. he still had another year after this one. some may not agree with me, but that's how I feel. so if anybody is wrong it's me. but I stand by how I think.
I agree raider, and more athletes are going to be following these trends. maybe I'm too ole fashioned, but I still think a commitment is still a commitment to the end. it is hard to take as a fan. you can't blame them , I agree. but I don't like it. and this stunt bosa pulled will repeat itself more and more and it has in the past as well with other teams. but this one really hurt.

The man was crucified, like Cavanuagh!!!!! It’s a disgrace and how do we expect him to react? I’m surprised he didn’t just tell them where to stick it. He was not supported by the University and thrown under the bus.....
I totally agree with this. Zach Smith agreed to charges reduced to a minor misdemeanor to avoid cost of a trial. $250 fine. If his ex wife's case had ANY weight at all, prosecution would have not let this get reduced to merely nothing.

Meanwhile, Urban lost hundreds of thousands of dollars with the suspension. If he is upset over the BOE and President Drake, it is easily understandable.

However- Urban now has a track record of the train going majorly off track in at least one game per year now. Purdue this year. Iowa last year. MSU in 2015. Clemson (twice).

He has shown that he is loyal to a fault, too prideful to dump his treasured zone read offense when it doesnt mesh with the current talent and has failed to hold his staff accountable (see Zach Smith and many other coaches who were left on staff and didnt perform well over the past several years). He is not one to drop the hammer on a poor assistant/coordinator until they find another school to coach at.

So on one hand I truly do have empathy for the way he was treated. I dont think it was right at all. There is certainly tension there but he still has a job to do and these players and coaches are seeing an unfocused, easily frustrated version of him that has failed all year since week 3 to fix these glaring issues on the field.

I am tired of watching the same soft players on defense go right back out on the field and even more tired of watching the same schemes with those players without making changes. If it was going to be miraculous fix it would have happen by now. Its time for change.

Sick of watching Prince get beat like a drum. Conservative defense with no blitzing while still getting destroyed for big plays. No high safety help at all last week on Rondell Moore. No getting out of man coverage to at least slow the bleeding of the big plays down. Knowing Moore was their absolute best weapon, we stayed in man to man and got burned time and again.

Yet no changes.

I am anxious to see what happens this week and next week before the Nebraska game. I say if they dont go to a pro style offense the running game will continue to struggle. If they stay in man to man defense and play the LBs so close to the LOS like they have, we continue to get torched. All of that would point to Urban being done.

Hopefully, we see some changes on both schemes and players when they hit the field after this break.
