Re: WK10: Meigs (3-6) @ Alexander (4-5)
meigs has had our number the past two years. just not sure we have the fire power to keep up. we will see.
Go Alex.
Go Alex.
Re: WK10: Meigs (3-6) @ Alexander (4-5)
Both teams have had very up and down games this year. I might have to give a slight edge to Meigs in a very close game.

With a win Alexander could end up with a better record than NY. That would be embarrassing. SMDH

Meigs throws, throws and throws some more to get the win. Meigs 35 - Alex 21

Alex plays their best game all year and Gets the win! Go Sparty!

Good luck to the Spartans! Think they get the win. Program is definitely headed in the right direction.

hope the weather slows Meigs and Alex gets turnovers. GO SPARTANS

Meigs and Wellston had a bang up game last week, could have gone either way. Alexander probably played there worse game of the year when they played Wellston, and got blown out big time. Would probably have to give the edge to Meigs. I hope the Spartans playing at home, and the chance to even there record on the year, will give one heck of an effort and have a chance to win this game. Hope both teams have an injury free game.

Not surprised that Meigs won at all, a little shocked at the score. Neither team has played that good of defense all year. Was the weather that big of a factor in the low score?

Re: Meigs 8 Alexander 0
this was a field position game. the weather was a huge factor in the score. There was one big play by Meigs that flipped the field and setup the only score of the game. Meigs did a better job than Alex did in creating opportunities, but the opportunities were hard to find with the field conditions and weather the way it was.
Good improvement by Alexander all year. I really thought 2-8 was the best we could do this year, but we really had a shot at 5-5 and finished 4-6. To only have 24 kids and get this kind of effort from them is a testament to the coaches and kids. Would love to see the numbers improve, but with soccer and basketball it is hard to get kids to come out. We have a good Jr. High team coming up, but good Jr. High results don't always translate to High School results.
Start working for next season! Go Alex and Go TVC!

I think the numbers will start to come up. The Spartans will have numbers closer to the mid 40's soon and that will give them a little depth and things will be fine.spartans_fan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 10:58 am this was a field position game. the weather was a huge factor in the score. Alexander did better than I predicted for the season. Hopefully a winning season next year
