Well they have a new head coach this year so the film you have watched is not the same unless you have watched them from this season...Last season they ran the ball a little. This season is a pass every play with QB scramble when **** hits the fan. Spicer threw it a lot...but not like WB does. I have never seen what WB does...its baffling..

:? Ok, so I'm getting ready to watch the CW (WHO TV) game between Reynoldsburg-Lancaster here @ 7:00 tonight. If DeSales beats Watterson tomorrow and Lancaster who DeSales beat upsets current D1, Region 2 Reynoldsburg in this game, would that scenario on It's own put DeSales in the playoffs with enough points or do we have to go down to other L2 points to get the answer ?

A Lancaster win certainly helps DeSales, but it does not guarantee them a playoff spot if my calculations are correct.

If Jackson beats Chillicothe, they will likely finish ahead of DeSales. Athens could also potentially finish ahead of DeSales if the Bulldogs beat NY and also get the necessary help from their other beaten opponents.

Basically, still too early to tell after tonight's game.

Looks like Reynoldsburg is gonna beat Lancaster, which greatly diminishes DeSales' chances of making the playoffs. I would think they'd need a lot of unexpected help at this point to get in.

Edit: I guess I should say that they need Jackson or Athens to lose, most likely, to have a shot.

Also, looks like Dunbar has already won their Week 10 game due to forfeit, so that's an expected win for DeSales that they're already getting credit for at this time. Belmont already beat Meadowdale as well, which is another expected win for DeSales.

DeSales getting secondary points and should take care of their game tomorrow. We'll see what shakes out I guess.

DeSales will get L2s from Watterson once they beat them. The only other teams they can get points from are St. Charles (who plays Hartley, so they're losing) and possibly North Vigo, but I'm still not sure if their game will even count. They're basically locked into an average of 18.7010 unless something unexpected happens. That average cannot beat a 7-3 Jackson, and it's probably not gonna beat a 9-1 Athens either.

Definitely a lot of factors still at play, but DeSales really needs one of Jackson and Athens to lose.

I think it really comes down to Parkersburg South vs. Wheeling Park for Athens/DeSales. There are other games that could affect the outcome, but that is the KEY game at this point. If South loses, Athens could be in trouble. If South wins, then I think they'll be ahead of DeSales.

Both Athens and DeSales want to root for Chillicothe to beat Jackson.

Okay, I'm done now. I should have actually calculated out all the scenarios this week, but I just haven't had time.

Doesn't Parkersburg South play Wheeling Park?

And Park is definitely favored. I'd be shocked if South wins

Just for speculation, this is my prediction. Obviously I'm gonna have Jackson win. lol

Jackson (7-3) - 20.7000
DeSales (6-4) - 18.7010
Athens (9-1) - 18.5404

I have DeSales getting no additional points (other than from Watterson). I have South losing to Wheeling Park, which hurts Athens a lot. I really think it's bleak for Athens unless they get South to win since I'm giving them credit for an RV win with that projection.

Ironman92 did just point out to me that Athens can be helped a lot by a Logan win over Waverly too. Wouldn't that be ironic? lol

I keep forgetting also that Bellfontaine could potentially factor into this if they win. They would need everything to go perfectly, but they would have shot.

That Dunbar game going from cancelled to foreit hurt. Need Terre South vs Terre North to go Athens way. Then South over Wheeling Park. I know WV forum has that as a shoot out. And RV over SG. Would have Athens just over 19 and DeSales 18.8

 Let's just let DeSales & Athens have a wildcard play-in game. I can guarantee you who would win that one.

I know. Be funny if Athens and DeSales are decided by 0-9 River Valley vs D7 South Gallia. If South or Logan win and Terre North losses. It will come down to Saturday night in Bidwell

Desales is basically set at 18.65
With a Terre North win its 19.3

Athens lowest possible 18.13

River Valley over South Gallia (+.35)
18.489

Parkersburg South over Wheeling Park (+.61)
19.095

Logan over Waverly (+.51)
19.6

Basically Athens probably needs South over Wheeling Park and Terre North to lose
