They said the same crap last year. Burg owns the area.Westfan wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 10:22 pmThey could've called holding on a couple of those jet sweeps to West's sideline to. This is not a state championship team and the shirt is funny as hell. Cry about it
252 yards rush8ng by Burg?? I think you meant every time the refs stopped the Burg’s running game all night. I know for sure they took away a 49 yard run from Mathews so I’m guessing Burg would have had well over 300 yards rushing.
That’s really not stopping a running game all night.

Yes they do. That’s why people have to make up funny shirts. Also the reason the areas beat players keep coming to burgwobycat wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 10:24 pmThey said the same crap last year. But West’s line is?? They had zero holding calls. The refs call what they want when they want.

West busted one big play . With zero holding calls. Burg busted a few and they were called because of it ? A holding by one player can absolutely spring a big play and they were called accordinglyyabbadabbadoo wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 10:38 pmWestfan wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 10:22 pmThey could've called holding on a couple of those jet sweeps to West's sideline to. West held quite a bit. There’s probably holding every play somewhere but I was right in line with the ump that threw the flag on the holding call at the end of the game that was going to allow burg to go up 35-7 and that sucker came out as soon as the ball was snapped. Officials weren’t consistent at allSiderBlood wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 10:47 pmWest busted one big play . With zero holding calls. Burg busted a few and they were called because of it ? All those holding flags helping West will disappear next week. Expect a more lopsided result.

I’d love to know the time of possession in the second half.packers80 wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 11:04 pm West had 3, countem 3 first downs....all in the first half. Be glad it rained.

West was done when they scored first....just like 2017.

Get ready for the rematch at Ed Miler Stadium next week. Playoff Round #1: West at W'burg. Expect more of the same or will West have a better game plan?

Re: Wheelersburg 28 Portsmouth West 7
If all of these Burg fans cry this much after a win, think about how bad it’ll be if West pulls off the upset.
Kidding aside, we’ll probably have about the same result next week, and then everybody will be upset Burg didn’t win by more.

Dang, I really hate that we'll have to whip west two time in a row. That's unfortunate..
Re: Wheelersburg 28 Portsmouth West 7
West has some nice players. Very impressed with the staggs kid. He could start any where. QB was pretty accurate throwing the ball as well. There’s just not enough of West and going both ways against a talented burg team doesn’t bode well.

Wheelersburg ran 30 offensive plays to West’s 10 in the second half and taking a guess but I’d say West was held to under 20 total yards in the second half.
Re: Wheelersburg 28 Portsmouth West 7
That really is the biggest problem. The second biggest problem is they don't have a Tanner Holden. He blew the game open by himself with very little effort. I'm surprised they didn't put more effort into getting the ball in his hands earlier.wobycat wrote: Sat Oct 27, 2018 5:30 am There’s just not enough of West and going both ways against a talented burg team doesn’t bode well.
