There would not have been an official announcement without being finalized.

How about the safety of the players? They might benefit.
How exactly does Jackson benefit?
Maybe you should try to be a ltiile bit grateful.

  This has been really amusing !!...Gallia Accadamy, you have a good team, take advantage of the opportunity and go play your game.
This should be a great game in a great environment. Good Luck Blue Devils, hope you get to play in Jackson week 12 !!

Smart move to move the game. Safety is most important. Plus you don't want a game official declaring a field unplayable.

The Newark Advocate (newspaper) has it posted on their website so it must be final.

The safety of the players? You gotta be kidding!
Who can prove more and injuries on grass/mud?
Will Havkson not benefit from concessions and parking?
Grateful to be giving up home field? Duh!

Personally I wanna thank jackson for allowing our team play on there field ..for those complaining it's not that far its 30 to 45 minute drive lol licking valley will still have 2 hour drive we will still have home field advantage because our fans travel well and many in southeast ohio will be there supporting the blue so let's move on to the task at hand with the licking valley panthers

To any GA supporter, if you guys wanted to be playing at home come week 11, then you would have a field suitable for playing a week 11 game. The way I see it, if the past 8-10 years would have been winning seasons, there probably would have been enough support to get the new stadium out by the high school. Instead, there were several losing seasons where the interest (an money) was lost. Hopefully GA is on the upswing and will generate a lot of support from the community, and thus, be able to build the stadium you deserve.

Not to mention it would be hard to justify building a new stadium in the past few years, when in that same time frame, the district was rifting teachers due to budget issues. I am sure the new superintendent will get things turned around and if the football program can keep winning, we will all see a stadium in centenary before too long. At least I hope so. Although Memorial Field as a lot of History for GA, it is not the best location to represent your team now. Both locker rooms are absolutely deplorable. One is falling off the hillside, the other can barely fit a Jr High team in it.

Here are some statistics I have put together on licking valley.
Score 34.3 points per game
Give up 11.8 points per game.
Total offense 382.6 yards per game
Total defense 233.8 yards per game.
Rushing yards 270.8 yards per game
Passing yards 112.2 points per game.

They only average 47.5 offensive snaps a game. That means they average 8.05 yards per offensive snap on season. They rush the ball 35.7 attempts per game and average 7.59 yards per rush attempt. Pass attempts 11.8 per game. Average 9.50 per pass attempt. They complete 7.8 passes a game. So average 14.38 yards on every completed pass

Licking valley QB is #1. Chase wisner 75-117. 1041 yards 8 td’s 4 interceptions.

Top rusher Conner mcgloughlin #22 averaged 15 carries 119 yards a game. He missed a couple of games in season so he probably really averages over 150 a game.

The QB runs it about 13 times a game for 91.5 yards per game. #15 Mitchell Ford 2.9 carries a game 37.1 yards a game. #18 Bengali Harris 2.6 carries and 14.3 yards per game

3 receivers had over 10 catches on year. Ethan Hile #9 22 catches 325 yards. Mitchell Ford #15 16 catches 420 yards Carson Conley 15 for 190 yards.

Very tough draw for Gallia, LV had a very tough schedule but I do see Gallia in this one. I believe Campbell will take over this one.

I am having problems figuring out just how good licking valley is this year. they lost to 3 great teams. all 3 of those teams are better then anyone gallia academy beat. But you look at the 7 teams they beat. they are 24-45 against OHSAA quality opponents and those 24 wins came against.
liberty union 2-8
5 lakewood 0-9
3 utica 2-8
3 newark catholic 3-7
fredericktown 1-9
3 heath 4-6
whetstone 3-7
maysville 5-5
northridge 3-7
westland 1-9
new albany 7-3
watkins memorial 4-6
35-84 so the 24 wins there opponets had were against teams who were 35-84 5 of them were teams beating lakewood 0-9 and another 9 of those 24 opponnet wins came against teams beating 2-8 utica 3 times newark catholic 3-7 3 times and heath 4-6 3 times.

but here is the things they totally destroyed these teams which they should. I am not really sure how good they are.

From what I'm hearing the youth football program will not play games next year at Memorial field - good move. Now move the junior high as well. Both groups could play at the high school and some additional movable bleachers could be added. Most years its the youth and junior high that tear up the field. Too many games are being played on that field.

Also Penrod is a pretty smart wanting to move this game to Jackson. Kinda making a point to the community that the school needs a new field. Plus it's smart on Jackson's part because of the revenue from parking and concessions that they will make.

Unfortunately I don't see a new field happening until the "powers to be" give up the idea of having a stadium like Logan or Jackson. There is just not enough support from the community to build a stadium of that size.
