Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
The PSU game is casually referred to as the "Buckeye D gets a Pick 6" Bowl!
Who do you think takes one to the house this week?
My pick I'd Bradley Roby, with Christian Bryant a close second!

Silias will get around 80, maybe!
And in order to have the best DTs in the country, they must have the best in this game, which THEY DON'T!

Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
^^^ I'm gonna with Travis Howard picking one off and taking it to the house lol. He's due a big game changing play.....but I'd say Roby is the more likely one to do so.
I think this will obviously be a defensive game. I think the buckeyes have the ability to spark more offense in this game because of the skilled players. Whiter they do or not remains to be seen. Depends which offense shows up. Miller is always a big play waiting to happen and Boom, Hall and Hyde can carry to load as well if the line decides to block this game. I would bet posey is itching to make a play or two himself.
Penn state has a solid runner in redd, but solely running the ball isn't going to get you far against the bucks defense (ask Wisconsin). Penn state has no quarterback and the throwing doesn't scare me too bad. Purdue was able to spread the field and open up the defense with the short passes, screens and etc. Keeping the D off balance.
I look for a better showing from the buckeyes this week. Including a pick 6 lol

Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
This is a game where both teams have mediocre offenses, but Penn State's defense has been more consistently good than Ohio State's.........the Buckeyes can win if they are more successful at throwing the football.........from this point forward going into the 2012 season, I want to see OSU develop a decent passing game.........Braxton Miller has the ability.........I just wish Coach Fickell would let him toss it around a little more.
17 points probably wins this game!! GO BUCKEYES!!

Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
They have tried to pass more than the stats show. Passing attempts don't show up when you get sacked 7 times and have to scramble that many times or more.

Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
Exactly, OSU has been calling about 25 pass plays a game.
Between sacks, and Miller running because he can't find an open guy, those plays become run plays in the stats.

Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
The NCAA has opened a Lack of Institutional Control investigation.
ON PENN ST!
PSU has until Dec 16, to reply as to why they should not be sanctioned with LOIC.

End of 1st Quarter and so far O-State defense is getting shredded by this lousy PSU offense,Offense is going to have to pick it up or another loss is coming

Penn state looks like a pro offense marching the field. And all but the scoring drive by our offense, we have looked bad. Not much blocking and no yardage on 1st down

I am just amazed how bad our o line continues to play. Especially Brewster, who is supposed to be an All American. Snaps going everywhere.
Does Bollman really have to make the trip to Ann Arbor next week?

Looks like McGloin has put his Santa suit back on and starting to throwing gifts at us,but how can a wildcat be that effective against this defense? its the easiest play to defend! PSU on track for 500 yards of total offense ,,,, 254 first half. how pathetic is that

Cant understand going to the Wildcat and letting Hall hand off to Herron when the offense has been moving the ball. Only Bollman.

Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
Great prediction, unfortunately it didn't pan out. It seems like Penn State's offense showed up today, defense showed up in the second half and took care of those buckeyes on their senior night. I would be begging for a 1 year bowl ban, know one wants to go to the Meineke Car Care Bowl.seofan_via_dublin wrote:The PSU game is casually referred to as the "Buckeye D gets a Pick 6" Bowl!

You should look into getting a better center.
20-14!
Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
this loss goes squarely on the coaching staff. The waterboys neglect to call a timeout before the 4th down effectively killed any chance they had. Bollman should be taken out back and shot for that pitiful display of play calling and the def coordinator should follow him. This should seal the fate of Tressels coaching staff, thank God.
