very proud of the fighting tigers effort this year. the coach and players have 11 games under their belts now. a very young team that will return most everyone. we have to clean up turnovers next year and limit penalties. and we'll be a tough team to be , and that is all discipline related, so it can be fixed. we must learn to finish games and not give up big leads, but keep the foot on the pedal with a lead and keep scoring. I think next years team will be a great unit to watch.
IN THE LONG GRASS BY THE WATER, SO WATCH YOUR STEP. AND LET'S GO IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS, OHIO STATE BUCKEYES AND THE CINCINNATI BENGALS

Ironton needs to spend another offseason in the weight room getting bigger and stronger, and learning not to fumble. If you take away the fumbles, they would have won 3 more games this year in my opinion.

I said “ they may continue PAST BELLAIRE”/PRIBABLY TOUGH FOR EITHER TOVWIN THE REGION!JHS Pride wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 12:09 pmReally, I disagree totally on that, I believe JM will move past Bellaire pretty easily and win region with no problem.Tjhtygeverve wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 4:06 amI wish JM WELL. They may continue past Bellaire, but prolly not with that inconsistency displayed tonight. IHS D stopped them after HT.TNTransplant wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 10:18 pm Yep, it appears that the Johnnies may have been overlooking the Tigers and it almost cost them. Ironton will be tough next year.
I think it’ll be tough for either Bellaire or JM to win region 19
Last night we played one of our worst games and still won, the loss of our RB (leaders of the team) was a blow and it shmowed
As I reread this I can see your questioning. I feel they probably should handle BELLAIRE, but will not win the region.
In the PRE-GAME WEBCAST, your coach SAID”we have a dinged up RUNNING BACK”. Not, a player with BROKEN BONES. Nevertheless, you were able to get the “W”. It was not pretty. After loosing our last two games of the season, I was happy with IhS performance, regardless of which team had more dinged up players.
JM was senior laden, plays a better conference & to go much further will need more than what hey brought to win “PAST BELLAIRE GAME”.
No hate, Just facts.

This is totally lost in translation in several areas.
Throw out the burg game. They are 275% better than the first game of the year when we played them. I want/said you to win against Bellaire.
I even said that in the Bellaire post.
I now, understand your leading back is/was hurt and how that affected the game & will continue to do so.
I’m not a hater. I cleared up the facts that were posted and mean no disrespect.
Good luck!

Ironton must be a lot better than people are giving us credit for. Johnstown ran over top of Bellaire tonight 35-7. They had to hang on last week against the Fighting Tigers. Ironton will be very good next year.

Ironton was 6-5. Actually 6-6 as they lost their jamboree game also. 3rd place in a bad league. They returned a solid quarterback and possibly a D1 fullback and tailback. One could say they actually underperformed

Ironton’s must show growth in several areas to reach its potential next year.
The QB must improve in game management and learn when to throw the ball away and when to stay in bounds versus getting out of bounds and stopping the clock. He also nmust continue developing touch. He made some strides toward the end of the season in this area.
The offensive line must replace its best two players with the loss of the senior offensive tackles. There are several very nice prospects in the ranks but they aren’t battle tested yet. Coach Prior has a lot of young talent to work with but the leadership that Humphreys and Rowe provided will be missed.
Finding a way to spell Carrico is important as well. Perhaps the hard hitting Deere kid can take a few carries next year to keep Carrico fresh.
Secondary loses a consistent performer in Thomas at corner. It will be interesting to see who emerges to replace him and Barnes at safety. I expect to see Hacker squarely in the mix.
A punter must emerge as well to replace Duncan as well. Crawford has punted a few times with mixed results and might be the favorite today for this slot.
Fosson must have a great off season and come to camp in better condition to allow him to play both ways more effectively. He gets tired and I suspect this leads to some of the fumbling problems that have plagued him.
Coach Pendleton is setting in a bevy of young taken to that needs to work hard this offseason and come in to camp ready to roll. Should be a fun season to be a Tiger fan.
