This is exactly what I was thinking 4.5 is elite speed. Even 4.6 is moving well and the only person I would say runs close to that is Mathews based on his 100 meter time which I think he’s fastest recorded was 11.5 I think and that can be calculated into a 4.7 to run a 4.5 or 4.6 that’s running a 11.0 equals a 4.5 no way that speed is sitting on the bench. For example tyler craigmiles has the SOC record in the 100 and he ran in it 10.9 if memory serves me. Then for Minford just because I know it for fact JP Piguet aCrab's Brother wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 10:14 amWheelersburg is good. But there is no way they have a kid 6'6" 205 running 4.5-4.6 sitting on the bench.
Benjamin Victor starts at Ohio State. He was the #97 player in the country and #12 wide receiver coming out of high school. He was 6'4" 180 and ran a 4.6 timed 40.
Yet Wheelersburg has a kid 2 inches taller and as fast or faster sitting the pine? Come On Man!!!

No. No there are not.
People love to throw around 40 times.
Garrett Wilson is the #2 WR in the country and is committed to Ohio State. He runs a 4.63 forty. Legitimate.
If Burg has a 6'6" kid that fast....His 3rd period class would be learning the playbook.
157 of the 203 players are as fast or slower than they were in high school, according to their claimed 40 times.
The average college football player is nearly a tenth of a second slower (e.g., a NFL Combine 4.5 after a high school 4.4) after four to five years in a college strength and conditioning program as he was when he entered that program.
93 players ran a sub-4.5 second 40 yard dash in high school. By the time they finished college, just 40 players were capable of breaking the 4.5-second mark.
And the playbook is taught in 6th period, not third!

Your "facts" are true because people claim times and then when they are actually tested the truth comes out.
Both examples I gave you were kids that were tested at The Opening or other similar camps.
The only Wheelersburg 40 time we know for sure is the QB. He ran a 5.17 at the Canton opening last spring.
At that same place, Massillon's 6'6" 214 pound senior WR Tre'von Morgan ran a 4.71 40. Morgan currently has offers from TCU, Michigan State, and Ole Miss among others.
But yeah, I am sure Wheelersburg has a kid that big and faster riding the pine because he can't block or learn the playbook.

Maybe hand time and that’s a big maybe to run a 4.7 that’s around a 11.45 100 and the fastest time recorded for burg in the 110s was 17.21 that’s a huge 5.76 second differential that’s too big a gap for even for a div 1 track stud. The math just isn’t there not knocking the kid but these are facts. For comparison Braden Tilley from minford ran a low 14 110s and he ran a high 4.5.Ed Miller is God wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 12:34 pm #11 does run a 4.69 40 ... Wheelersburg keeps the Strength and Conditioning page up to date. #29 (4.6), #2 (4.65) are fast. #9 is (4.7). #11 isn’t listed

Looks like according to Maxpreps they have a 6'5" Junior named Corie Maxie #11, that's the only WR at that height, next on the list would be Stidham at 6'2"
Re: Final 4: Wheelersburg vs. Johnstown
This is true there isn't 4.5-4.6 kids around every corner. The Wilburn kid from NY laser timed a 4.5 at OU and was offered right then and there, technique can be taught, fine tuning and muscle developed can be enhanced. Size, (height), and speed are 2 things that can't be taught, with speed you can cut minimal time off the 40 but a guy either has the speed or he doesn't.Crab's Brother wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:33 amJack Sparrow wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 10:40 amNot disputing that fact about Ben victor. Re: Final 4: Wheelersburg vs. Johnstown
Uh hu and?? If the kid can or can't do this or that why does it matter to this game?? I mean if we're talking about Wheelersburg vs Johnstown for a shot at a state championship then why in the world is this the center of a topic?? Even if he ran a 4.4 but couldn't get on the field would it matter?? Just seems pointless to continue a debate about a backup player that may or may not run a 4.6-4.7 which is quick but sorry it's not anything special.BondRoad Bandit wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 1:06 pmBecause it’s blatant lies.greygoose wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 1:04 pmI'm still sitting here trying to figure out why it even matters.Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 1:03 pm

And a 4.6 in high school is special. Its not just "quick". The players that can run even a 4.7 around here in high school (legit) are few and far between.

I have to call bs was the wind at his back was he using blocks in spikes on a track on a field. I watched all his highlights he is a legit 4.6 if you see a 4.5 guys highlight I can show you difference. But he is quick his 20 yd shuttle I bet is great. I’d put up 500$ to the winner of SEOPs foot race in cleats on field helmets and shoulder pads we could settle it pretty quick.greygoose wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 1:01 pmThis is true there isn't 4.5-4.6 kids around every corner.
