wow, i had no idea Ian Johnson had that type of speed. All the through his final season i heard him bein knocked for his speed. I thought he was more pf the range of 4.55-4.6, i think he jus REALLY improved his stock with that 40, he could be a high 2nd rounder with that

Derrick Williams ran a 4.59 wow. ESPN did a special on him talking about how he was working with a speed coach. Looks like that was for nothing.

Same channel, both radio and TV has mentioned the Browns taking him at 5.

Speed right where they projected, best broad jump, equal strength in bench press,
stiff arm from hell!

Dropping fast?

Marcus Freeman is testing near the top of almost all of the drills for Linebacker.

I thought I heard that Jenkins was dropping, I had not heard that Wells was dropping.

They are busting Jenkins for his 40 time, mid 4.5 range.

Shows how much some people put on the value of the 40,
Vonte Davis ran .05 seconds faster than Jenkins, and he is
being praised for having a good performance.

If they'd both to look at a better test for corners, one that shows the
ability to change directions and accelerate quickly, the 3 cone drill,
they'd see that Jenkins had a better time than every other corner at the combine.

In the 3 cone drill they consider a great time as anything under 7 seconds,
Jenkins ran a 6.59! That is 0.2 seconds better than Rogers-Cromarte last year,
who was a top 10 pick.

Donald Washington blew away the competition in the Vertical leap
and the broad jump. He had the best scores regardless of position.

What do you think about Browns possibly taking Wells at the #5 spot?

When I pent time with Chris, twice as crowd control at an autograph session,
he said he didn't care where he went, he just wanted a chance to play football
as a pro. Kind of the response you'd expect out of a Tressel "The Borg" player.

I wouldn't wish playing for the Browns on my worst enemy. I do like it that Brady Quinn
is stuck up there, couldn't have happened to a bigger waste of .... never mind, soap box.

Seriously, I'd like to see Chris in a spot where he can shine. He needs to be behind a solid O-Line,
that has a balanced attack, so he can be a clock mover and a game breaker all in one.

As with most Buckeyes, I don't care where he goes, I just hope he succeeds once he gets there.

I think he could be a big help to that Cleveland offense, but so could a lot of people.

I think Cleveland and the Bengals are in the same boat.

They both need a wide array off players at several different core positions.

Cleveland needs better linebackers if they are staying with the 3-4, they could use
another top O-Lineman, they could use a good pass rushing end, and they could
always use another quality DB.

Cincinnati needs help on both lines, at WR, at LB, and at RB.

I think there is enough value at the RB position in later picks, that both teams should
draft their core and get a good value pick at RB in the 2nd or 3rd round. There is
a bunch of O-Linemen ready to be taken at the 5th and 6th pick. There is quality
defensive guys there too.

There is so much of what both teams need in the top 10, that I would rather
see them trade down 2-3 slots and pick up depth in later rounds, and still
get a 1st round pick they both need.

Wells will be a benefit for anyone who picks him, as long as he stays healthy.

James ran 4.78 in the 40,
only got 22 reps in the bench,
finished 3rd in the 3 cone drill at 6.93,
6th in the 20 yard shuffle at 4.24 (faster than Knowshon Moreno)

He was a little slower than expected, but is still ranked highly,
he is looking at mid-first round.
