Orville is a beast. I dont think it mattered who won the JM vs Burg game. I'll take Orrville by 21.
Good luck to the Johnnies since they are a much closer team region wise but I dont see this game being very competitive.

Don’t know much about Orville, I’m sure it will be a tough and competitive game, I just hope the Johnnies don’t come in this game with a hangover from beating Burg. If we play like we have we will give Orville one heck of a game, I need to watch some film on them before I can give my opinion

For burg fans what did you bring for noise makers last year since the jugs were not allowed or were they that strict?

I watched some tape on Orrville and they are loaded. You guys impressed me va Burg. More speed than I thought JM would have.
Best of luck.

Wow!! That’s some impressive stats. They might have embarrassed Burg in football like they did in basketball in 95

Re: State Final: Johnstown-Monroe vs. Orrville
I just got done watching a lot of film on Orville. Very good and talented team, like to run a lot between the tackles out of the spread. QB will pass if he sees a one on one matchup which the johnnies will play, looks to be a interesting matchup for sure, reminds me on offense similar to Granville, which we lost. I think in this game we need to pin our ears back and crash the gaps all night, make them run side to side where our strength is. It looks like big #70 & #75 will play on both sides to not allow big runs down the middle. Offense side, we should be able to run that D off the field, I don’t see there D being able to stop that power run game. It be a very good game in first half but see johnnies pulling away in 2nd half, 34-17

Re: State Final: Johnstown-Monroe vs. Orrville
Orrville had a monster schedule playing 6 playoff teams, many being bigger divisions. They beat 4 of them. The opener was an eye opener as they lost late to a strong D-II Wooster, a playoff team , after playing toe to toe with them for much of the game. Orrville always has tough kids and usually some speed. This should be a highly entertaining game. I like Orrville.

Orrville will win because that's the hometown of the "Smucker's Company" and The General, Robert Montgomery Knight. Johnstown has nothing on them.

That might still be the state record for largest margin of victory in a championship game.

1995 Orrville Team was refered as " The Team Of A Lifetime " by the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Bellaire put nearly 50 on the board in beating them. That's why games are played on the field and not on paper.
