Yes, he teaches biology at the High School. He also had power lifting coaching duties.

The coach at Greenup County was offered the Ironton job before Pendleton. Maybe he will apply for this one, he has done a nice job there turning their program around.

Facts on CG job
1. Coach Ferguson chose to go to Boyd County because he felt it would improve himself. He thinks more money, larger school, more athletes, just dropped division, likelier chance to make playoffs.
2. The young man in questioned got punshioned,as many students do. All school administrators supported it,was served and move on. Stop starting drama.
3. All administrators and board members support and wish Coach Ferguson the best.
4. CG athletes are on a decline. Anyone involved in the programs realize this. Only true CG people will want to stick by and support the program. The rest will sit and gripe and complain about coaches, players, refs, and administrators. True CG people will support the program regardless. Hopefully next coach has the desire to improve CG not himself and leave like last two cases after a couple of years. To be a head coach is not for the weak, especially here. I witnesssed fans blaming everyone but themselves. Went to first CG basketball game saw it there in a matter of minutes. We were getting beat by 25 most of the game. Instead of getting your child telling them to keep their head up and to work harder. They chose to stick around and yell at refs and complain about coaches. So instead of wondering what the big secret is to why he is leaving, I invite each of you to go to a game. Listen to the fans and learn. Then listen to the coaches and in the stand and you understand a lot more. So instead of speculating online about stuff none of us know. Support the program and whoever the next coach is! As I told my son, there is a lot more to life the sports. You will learn from this, improve, and come out stronger in the end.
