Home field advantage is monumental in high school football.

No one played on their home field in the State finals, nor semis, nor quarter finals. Try again.

Yeah being able to sleep in your own bed and drive less than an hour to a game is huge in high school football.

I was in Columbus Friday with my wife who had a conference. Had the games been in Columbus I would have drove over and watched one maybe two games.

Stark county will never give them up. Stark count fairgrounds make to much money on parking. Wonder who’s pockets get lined for that? Also, don’t give me the crap of the games are getting played at the NFL Hall of game. I bet if you asked every kid playing HS football if you had the choice between playing at The Shoe or Tom Benson field, first they ALL would say who is Tom Benson and secondly they ALL would say play at the Shoe!! Sad that the kids don’t get a say in this.

Also, paladin is still a pud!!!!

Orrville drove 20 minutes, had the home side and the covered seats can't tell me they didn't have a slight advantage.

They didn't do parking at the fairgrounds this year. They had lots near the stadium and you walked to the game. Much more convenient than last year. Cost for parking was $5 per game.

The basketball state finals are played in Columbus every year. No reason football couldn't be the same.
