Wheelersburg @ Ironton 12/15
Last year’s game was a hard fought physical game. Who wins this round? Burg has been scrappy in their first two games. I think they are ahead of where people thought they would be at this point in the season. What is everyone’s thoughts?
Re: Wheelersburg @ Ironton 12/15
Word on the street is Ironton will have security behind their bench just in case someone from the Burg sets up behind their bench and "takes pictures"

Burg led 24-0 last night during first quarter and winning 51-10 at half without their starters. Burg will not need to “take pictures”. This game won’t be close as Itonton won’t be a problem. One of Burg’s D1 players only played 3 minutes last night. Can you imagine if he played the whole game????

I think this one stays close in first quarter. Burg dominant in first 2 games. I’m taking Burg by 20.

Yes This game will be a problem for both teams Both teams are very athletic and physical and just flat out very good . Both teams playing very well right now with Burke coming off the big win at Oak Hill and Ironton last night with the big win over Gallia. Looking forward to a very good game tonight.

Agree with VC. This one will be closer than people think. I'm going Burg by 8.

I'll be at the game, and I'll be curious as to how the game flows. Will Wheelersburg force the tempo up, or will Ironton make it more of a half court game? How physical will the game be, and will the officials let the game by physical? There will be a lot of good athletes on the floor. After last night's win over Gallia Academy, I would have to think that the Fighting Tigers will give the Pirates a really tough game. I was at the Jackson sectional final last season when Ironton only lost to Wheelersburg by 6 points. The Burg of course went on to win the district title. Many of the same players from last year's game will be playing tonight.

... good to see that you are going to see this one tonight trojandave - give us a good rundown on what you see from this one - both good teams ...the Burg Elite caliber team as you coming back this year with that district title in hand with many on that team returning this season as well ... you have said from the outset of the preseason until now that Ironton has the game/athletes to give Wheelersburg all they want based on how the Tigers played the Burg in the sectional last post season ... going to be fun game to watch I'm sure - enjoy !trojandave wrote: Sat Dec 15, 2018 12:26 pm I'll be at the game, and I'll be curious as to how the game flows. Gotta wonder how much Ironton has in its tank after last nights tilt with Gallia Academy.

Was able to listen to this one. Great road win by the Burg. Always a tough place to play.
