J.K. Kearns & Stone-Markins not in the lineup for Alex. Both suffered injuries last night. Neither serious though.

No they just aren’t playing well right now and having only 18 players is whats hurting them. Lack of size and having a proven scorer is their problem and I just don’t see this group playing @ the Convo

Logan Elm athletics have struggled the last couple years and I think having a new school will help tremendously
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 for Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #1
That’s fair. Why only 18 players?TravisHill222 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 9:48 pmNo they just aren’t playing well right now and having only 18 players is whats hurting them. Lack of size and having a proven scorer is their problem and I just don’t see this group playing @ the Convo

When I watched them play Ready they had a chance to win the game but Stiverson didn’t have a play called and that’s what cost them
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 for Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #1
Well a lot of us not in the know do give Coach Stiverson a good deal of credit and LU just barely lost to Sheridan (who we assume is very good) and then Logan Elm smashed them. It’s early...LE will be a team to keep watching and score comparing.TravisHill222 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 9:59 pm When I watched them play Ready they had a chance to win the game but Stiverson didn’t have a play called and that’s what cost them

Elite gonna be tough. Chillicothe 3 losses but win at McClain and play #1 Logan tight at Logan
Washington best Chilly then took Jackson to OT at Jackson
For me
1. Logan
2. Sheridan
3. Burg
4. Jackson
5. Gallia Academy
6. Zane Trace
7. Chillicothe
8. Washington
Waverly, Athens, Alexander, McClain near
Where to put North Adams? Undefeated and beat undefeated Eastern Brown. I’d slide them into the top 20

My quick take on Alexander
Alexander Spartans (5-0)
11/30 Southeastern 61-54 W
12/7 at Vinton 61-60 W
12/8 at Fed Hock 51-37 W
12/14 Meigs 64-53 W
12/15 Waterford 58-30 W
I'm not going to lobby for Elite 8 status just yet, big game with Athens next Friday could put them on the fringe though. The biggest problem with the Spartans is they were ranked way to low to begin with. You had a DIII team that lost to the No. 1 seed in the district semi-finals by 10 (was in the game the entire time) - and they had almost their entire roster coming back in tact. They are one of few teams to have a legit 6'9 center in the paint, a coaches son at PG, who happens to be lightning quick, and three really athletic kids in Dylan Mecum, Matt Brown and Stone Markins-Irwin. They have an outside threat in Kam Riley, who led all scorers vs Waterford with 17 (5 treys) - and they have their starting quarterback from the football team Kaleb Easley to back up J.K Kearns at the point. They also bring in (or even start) Luke Chapman at C in place of the 6'9 Terry.
I know pfloyd said they had to 'earn their way up', but I wouldn't hesitate to jump them up more spots than usual given where they were unfairly ranked to begin with. Not only that, the Spartans seem to be hitting their stride a little now. They handled a Meigs team fresh off a victory over Marietta with relative ease - and literally destroyed a (4-0) Waterford team tonight leading 32-4 at halftime.

North Adams will beat quite a few people. They are big, young ,but; farm strong and talented. Wouldn't surprise me if they don't get a piece of the SHAC crown this year. This group went I believe undefeated last year as reserves.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 10:18 pm Elite gonna be tough. Chillicothe 3 losses but win at McClain and play #1 Logan tight at Logan
