Yes Jackson on paper should be good. But it’s tha burg too. i would suggest to other opposing teams as well to not take them lightly.

Burg has a tough schedule again non-conference, they'll take some lumps early but it'll help in the long run for their season and the program. No use playing a soft schedule.

I don't think Burg actually recruits. They are in a perfect geographical location. The majority of their surrounding school districts don't have football. Portsmouth Clay, South Webster, and New Boston don't have football, and with Green and Portsmouth having struggled, along with Wheelersburgs success, has allowed them to pick up some very nice players.
Jackson....

The kids they have transferring in are from schols from other counties. Quite a bit different.ravensfan09 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 3:48 amI don't think Burg actually recruits. Im not saying they are actively recruiting, but to say its the same as Wheelersburg would be wrong.

Jackson is an established program . They’ve been good for years and years. Some years really strong , some years just above average but Jackson always puts a good product on the field. The community support is phenomenal. Super nice facilities . Established coaching staff . Academics are top notch. If you have proof that Jackson recruits then present the evidence , otherwise you sound like a bitter old man.

Burg has players from ironton , Portsmouth, Portsmouth m west , valley . All those are “struggling” schools ?
Re: 2019 Wheelersburg Pirates
No most of those schools aren't struggling and yes there is more to it than kids just showing up.

Ironton, Portsmouth, and Valley have been struggling actually. The 2018 season was the better for each school, but the others have in fact been struggling.

All those schools offer football and one is out of the county . All the reasons you say Wheelersburg was different than Jackson .
Re: 2019 Wheelersburg Pirates
You may see a change with the burg. Word on the street is the Superintendent cracked the whip on the athletic program for behavior on and off the field/court.

As a matter of fact...I said that I was not accusing any one of recruiting. I didn't want to do that, but you seem awfuly defensive. You must be worried.Poo Bear wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 7:50 pmravensfan09 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 7:42 pm Ironton, Portsmouth, and Valley have been struggling actually.
