Re: Triple option teams in Ohio
When I came to Waverly in 1988 we were running the true Read Option and spent most of our offensive practice time on it. We then put in the Syracuse Freeze option, much like the midline. We also threw the ball a good bit so it was a good combo for us. We still like to run the speed option even out of our 1 back stuff and the counter option!
Great stuff vs the 4-4 and 4-3 defenses of the 90s

Worthington Kilbourne runs the triple-option, I think out of the "I," but I've only seen them once and that was around 4 years ago.

alot of success can be made with a great option attack. the main key is to be able to read defenses and understand your blocking schemes

Disklaimer: These here thoughts are my opinions. Dont mean too hurt nobodies feelins. Are we still able to state opinions on here without unfair retribution from certain folkes?

Amanda Clearcreek was a triple option/veer back when they were winning state titles.
