Athens (8-2) at Warren (7-3)
Athens has won 8 straight games since starting (0-2), but hasn't won at the Warrior Dome in 15 years! The last time the Dogs escaped Vincent with a victory was the 2003/2004 season under coach Skinner. It took overtime by an Athens team led by Grant Gregory & PG Aaron Forte.

2003/2004 was the last time Athens has beat Warren, period. Home or away with a lot of heart wrenching losses along the way.

Warren keeps winning really close games...I think the breaks go against them late in this one

Coach Cozart just can’t get any respect it seems. I think he is 19-3 since mid season or so last year. 11-0 in actual TVC league play in that span. Having runs of 9-0 then a tough overtime loss to VC in the sectional last year. This year there were 2 early and tough losses to Gallia Academy( in the Loveday era-Lol) and Waverly. And now another run of 8-0 to sit at 8-2 overall and 6-0 in TVC-Ohio league play so far this year. What more does he have to do?

I don't think Warren is as strong as in the past. But being at home, they will be very hard to beat. Should be a great game right down to the final buzzer.

Agreed can’t wait to hear this one on radio. How are the refs traditionally at Warren. Do we know what crew is going to be there?VetteMan wrote: Wed Jan 09, 2019 1:13 pm I don't think Warren is as strong as in the past. But being at home, they will be very hard to beat. The refs are always fair and no advantage will be had by the home team.Allthewayup11 wrote: Wed Jan 09, 2019 1:58 pmAgreed can’t wait to hear this one on radio. ... On a side note: coach Skinner told me the last time Athens beat Warren in Vincent, the Dogs shot 45 free throws, including going 10-for-10 in overtime. lol
