Do you know who they have interviewed or going to interview???? The coach at Miller would be a great candidate but that is a big step from a small school to such a large school as Athens. There are some monster schools in DIII that you have to face if you make it to the playoffs including Norwalk, Akron SMSV, and Bishop Hartley to just name a few. You also have Sheridan, Granville, and St. Francis in your region.

I have heard that they were looking at hiring from within. High schools are funny...colleges can interview and hire a coach, with millions of dollars on the line, in a matter of a few days. High schools take 3 months.
Hope they are working out while they wait for the coach to be hired.

Yes, inside job you are correct. I won't give the name until it's official so don't ask. But it's not who many will probably suspect.ravensfan09 wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 9:18 am I have heard that they were looking at hiring from within. Why are all these schools overlooking the PE teacher at NYHS? He has been out awhile but is better than any name being floated at Logan, Athens, or NEW Lex. Heck fire. He is the best coach at Nelsonville-York.

I played against him at Waverly, played with him at OU, and lived with him for a year as one of his housemates...hell of a guy! Congrats Ryan on a very successful run.

Typical red tape. It will be announced some time this month I assume. Probably after the next board meeting on the 14th.ravensfan09 wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 4:10 pmI heard that a couple months ago, but its never happened?

Absolutely. He was my QB in college and was tops in my book. Great person, great character. A Trimble Tomcat. I'll never forget him.Pitstop Billy wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 12:29 pm Why are all these schools overlooking the PE teacher at NYHS? Re: Ryan Adams Steps Down As Athens Head Coach
If it is Nathan White, which is also what I have heard, he is a great choice to be head coach. He has been there for quite a while now and was there as a player. The bulldog program will miss Coach Adams and Coach Goodwin. They have both been with the program in some capacity for a long time. I don't see either of them taking jobs with any other program.
