Have to agree Dubs.B1G just like PAC12,Big EAST,ACC,Big 12,and other than two teams in the SEC over rated.Wisky good team, but we'll see.I guess that's why Bucks, like HUSKERS are a tailback team and anyone can hand the ball off. There really are only two or three teams this year that cannot be beaten any given Saturday. The trick is not to beat yourself.Wisky will lose two games before season is over, just getting to the meat of their schedule.

Hopefully we can't get SOME offense going against Illinois. This game has been a hard fought one the past few years

After reading the Ohio State topics over the last few months, it appears that if you haven't drank the
OSU Football Kool Aid, no other opinion is valued.

Opinions are welcome, but some are simply wrong!
I don't follow WVU, I've given opinions of WVU before, but never in depth and normally with minimal accuracy.
The same holds true on outsiders commenting on OSU, when they don't follow OSU in depth!
Saying that in 40 years OSU hasn't had a single good QB, is moronic!
I'm not saying don't comment, I'm just saying don't get defensive when we call your nonsense out!

Re: Week 7: OSU @ ILLINOIS
Lol He must have forgot about Troy smith in 2006. He was consensus all American, won the heisman trophy and the Davey O'brien award for the nations best QB. He may have had a rough night against Florida in the title game but was spectacular throughout the season.
Hell, even Pryor would have started for most every team in the country. He would have been utilized differently I'm sure but still a talented guy.
And actually our running game hasn't been horrible. It hasn't been the greatest but has shown some life at times. The only time its horrible is when Bauserman steps foot on the field and any chance for a completed pass is out of picture and then the defense stacks the box and shuts down the run.

Re: Week 7: OSU @ ILLINOIS
Bucks are too deep at RB, and with Storm Kline having some issues, are way too thin at LB.
Their solution: Moving Rod Smith to LB for this season.
Should be interesting, and makes you wonder, why isn't Curtis Grant progressing?
I'll check and see if I can find out any info.

Re: Week 7: OSU @ ILLINOIS
I know I was upset with the Buckeyes after last week's game at Nebraska and said I wouldn't watch them anymore if Bauserman was the QB, but I do support the Buckeyes and always will. They will work hard and get through the hard times they are going through right now. I look for a great game and am pulling for them all the way. It may be our turn to spoil the Illinois teams perfect record like they did to us a few years ago. Go Bucks and whip some Illinois butt.
Re: Week 7: OSU @ ILLINOIS
Is that true,Smith at linebacker?Did he play backer in school?Bucks need backers ,is that true Dubs?

Re: Week 7: OSU @ ILLINOIS
Smith is getting practice at LB, he's likely not going to see the field at RB this year again. Just too much ahead of him at that spot to get enough practice reps and improve.
Smith played LB in HS, but that was 2 years ago, in Indiana.
I like that Smith is willing to do whatever it takes to see the field and help the team.
My concern is, why are we moving a guy to LB?
Curtis Grant recently moved to the Sam backer spot in practice, but is seeing his time on special teams. He was one of the top LB prospects in HS, and so far hasn't done enough to get time, and apparently now were looking at moving a RB to LB.
Storm Kline is questionable, health wise. Right now it's being billed as a move to solidify depth.

I was a big fan of Troy Smith ever since I watched him in the spring game as a freshman he was a great athlete, I have a picture of him in my house. Smith did win the Heisman but I think the award is bias, 99% of the time it is won by a qb or rb that probably is not even the best player on his team let alone the whole country. The BigTen usally has 4 or 5 ranked teams during any season but they usally don't do very well in the bowl games so it's my opinion that the BigTen is a over rated conference. I have just as much right to post my opinion as anyone on these threads. It is also my opinion by reading alot of post this season about the Buckeyes I think alot of fans are thinking with their heart and not their mind, face it at this point the Buckeyes are not a very good football team and don't see it changing this season.

I can't recall the last time I was excited to watch us play Illinois, but let me tell you that this game is very important. We will not beat Wisconsin and maybe not Michigan (that hurts to say). Purdue and Idiana are both winnable but we need to win this and those two to be bowl eligible. Go OSU!

Re: Week 7: OSU @ ILLINOIS
Pregame, Rod Smith is warming up with the linebackers, not the RBs. Confirming what I passed on yesterday. Good to know I didn't jump the gun on that nugget!

Smith however, is still wearing #2, so he cannot play defense while Christian Bryant is on the field.

Have to like the fans dressing in alternating colors in the stands. Something different. The stripe out.
