What happened against Unioto? They don’t have much length and are young
Well they start 6'5, 6'5, 6'4, 6'2 and 6'0 all are long lanky. They flat out lost to unioto. All I said is I wouldn't sleep on them and I believe they are better than their record shows. They play a good schedule and it will show come tournament time. JMO

Good length. No doubt. FU always solid and well coached.

... the win by Fairfield Union blew the doors off this sectional imo ... Sheridan was pretty much a "given" to be the #1 seeded team in the sectional BUT with the loss to FU ... they showed ME anyway that they are not as good as last years SHS team ... not as deep for sure, they ARE talented but definitely a "beatable" team - still have a question mark on their perimeter ball handling , 2 scorers in Heileman inside and Heller on the perimeter/and dribble penetration going to his left ... after that - questionable scoring potential imo ... I didn't see "improvement" over last years team vs Fairfield Union ...

... I haven't seen Warren yet - I'll see this Friday's game vs Athens- THAT is an important game in the seeding for the Logan Sectional for sure ! Warren is as disciplined as FU ... they would be a tough match-up for Sheridan similar to FU ... the discipline and coaching gives Warren the edge vs Sheridan the same as FU vs Sheridan - discipline & coaching advantage for FU ...

A question for ya’s,

What are your thoughts on the current sectional-> district setup, the way that the Southeast District does it? Do you like it? Do you find aggravation in the format here and there? In your mind, would a super-sectional format or even a procedure where the coaches can place their team wherever they like on the line by rank of seed be more equitable and appealing than the current format?

Funniest thing I've read all day! lol

Athens could have Lebron and wouldn't be favored in that cage they call a gym.

Given the level of difficulty - I think that is totally fair.

I told that poster from Portsmouth that when they won at Warren 3 out of 4 years that was equal to a Final 4 berth and they should hang another banner in the gym

Fun fact:

Athens had FOUR D1 athletes on the floor (Burrow - QB LSU, Luehrman twins - Ohio University, Ibi Watson - SG at Dayton) ... plus Griffin Lutz AND Zacciah Saltsmen - Georgetown football ... AND still couldn't win at the Warrior dome or beat them in the tournament.

Athens has had just THREE 1,000 point scorers in the history of the school - and two of them (Burrow & Lutz) - were on the court when Athens lost to Warren multiple times.

I mean, it is utterly ridiculous. I'm to the point where I am willing to give up my left pinky finger and maybe a big toe just to beat those SOB's one time ... just once! lol

I think we should wait until after Tuesday’s game against Wellston-Ironman.

Athens plays VC and Marietta in the next week or so.
Probably get a good idea of who they'd rather play in the first rd ... Or, if beaten, could slip to the 4 seed.
Very interesting 8 days for Athens.
