This would be sickening. Athens is 0-3 against good teams, Fairfield Union has 3 wins better than anything Athens has. The TVC is hot garbage compared to the MSL.

If VC has any chance at the 5 seed, them MUST go 2-0 this week against Alex and Athens.

Bottom 4 teams are bad. Top 4 teams are solid.

Still a lot of games left--could change the top 4 easily.

Just for fun and my entertainment, I hope Sheridan is gifted the #1 seed again and that Waverly comes out of the 4/5 on the other side again.

Athens handed Alexander (9-1) its only loss of the season.

Not sure it even matters ... Not much difference in the 3 or the 4, not only in the Logan sectional but even at the Convo.

Chesapeake is decent too, so maybe I should have worded the first part differently.

However, I still like the wins over Sheridan, Columbus Academy (8-3), and Amanda Clearcreek a little bit more.

Can't argue with that - or the state of the TVC-Ohio this season.

Athens had chances against Waverly, Gallia and Warren, but didn't cash in.

Still have games at Lancaster, vs Jackson, vs Marietta, at Vinton, at Logan and at Alexander.

Please beat Lancaster by 40. You were scheduled as a “win”, by the Gales. Go ask Philo, Court House, KIPP, Patriot Prep, the Fairfield School for the Boys/Industrial School.

... Sheridan plays John Glenn/Philo as their "competition" before the seedings ... I'm going to say they drop both of those games ... FU has trap games with LE & VC and a good Amanda TEAM ... if FU runs the table before the seeding I'm giving them the #1 ... the rest of the lineup you have bman I'm on board with ...

I think Fairfield is fine with LE, that's not a good matchup for the young Braves. And I agree with your thought process. I gave Sheridan the No. 1 based on games through 1/18, as I did with everyone on the list.

It's not nearly as pretty as it has been in recent past for Fairfield Union, but wow can they guard you. They are extremely long and they just make it really tough. They struggle to score at times, but they have a great player and plenty of good pieces around him. As I stated a couple of weeks ago they are going to be a tough out. They are extremely well coached! I look for them to win their 4th straight league title and I know they have had some really good players, but this year will show how high quality that coaching staff is IMO.

Fairfield Union also ends the schedule with games at Beechcroft and Liberty Union. One of the toughest schedules that anybody in this District has.

So how big is this game against Marietta on Tuesday for Athens? If They lose are they going to drop below Marietta in the seeds? I mean is Athens looking at a possible 6 seed if they can’t get it done since they just lost to VC?
