1/25/19 Ironton @ Gallia Academy
Re: 1/25/19 Ironton @ Gallia Academy
I graduated in 83. Was at Gallia freshman and sophomore years. Before my parents moved. And we transferred to a county school. I was young I graduated high school at 17 so even if open enrollment and other things would of been around my parents couldn’t of afforded a extra car. have to say I enjoyed my experience at both schools. They moved because my dad wanted more land and a farm he had grown up on one. But couldn’t afford one until later in life.
When i moved back to area after 10 years in military me and my wife settled into the city school district because of my job I saw very little local high school sports between 83 and 2008 when my children entered middle school.
That is why I have huge gaps in my knowledge of some of the history. Of things that have taken place

I meant a lot of things has changed there and everyone from new superintendent through athletic director and boosters have made a point to say things are different and reach out to people who were wronged.
My point should of said let’s not compare what might be happening with coaches now as well as then and act like same people in charge. So why would you expect better treatment now.
Nice response and clarification

If they want to make it right I would say naming the court or gymnasium after him would be a step in the right direction.

This sounded like a great game with a lot of drama at the end. Congrats to Ironton getting the win.

Did anything ever happen with this? Surely someone at the school and the state level was notified of the situation?
