Insane .. What was she like in college

She started at Ohio State. I saw her play a lot there. She struggled - her shot was a little slow and playing at the higher pace limited her game.

I forget where she transferred too. But she has been an excellent college coach and obviously knows the game!

Marlene transferred to OHIO University where she had an outstanding 2 seasons, led the Cats to one of their best seasons ever and scored 1,000 points. She finished 8th in the nation in scoring as a senior at 22.9ppg, 1st Team All-MAC and honorable Mention Kodak All-American. Stollings also held the school record at OHIO for most 3pt FG in a game 10 and points with 41.

I never saw her play, as I wasn't living around here at the time. Buzz Fisher, the radio guy for OH has told me that she was a very good player. I have know her mother and father for a number of years. Her father passed away a short time ago. I read the banner at the OH-SW game last night. Every name was on the banner except Caitlyn Brisker, who just recently went over a 1000 Pts.

And this year they will play 30+ games. For Stollings to have scored 1000 she would have had a career average of 19ppg, that is an elite figure. Katie Smith was/is the Big10 all time scoring record holder only averaged 20ppg in her career. So, 1000points in 2 years would be quite the accomplishment.
