Green vs Whiteoak
Green vs Whiteoak
Should be a good one. Hamilton back for Whiteoak, Rand has been great much of the season. Whiteoak goes 8-9 deep with tons of seniors. Ruckel at 15 ppg, freshman Ashbaugh, 6’4 Yeager.
Green has had a good season but I’m confused how they gave up 58 points to Notre Dame.

Re: Green vs Whiteoak
That is a little confusing, being that Whiteoak only gave up 32 and 33 pts in there 2 games against ND. Unless the fact that both teams ( Whiteoak and Green ) have had key players injured at certain stages of the season. Tempo and Matchups with certain teams sometimes dictate the amount of points scored in some games.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 10:21 pm Should be a good one. Green fans are rightfully nervous in this matchup, they would have much rather seen Clay again.
I'll go with Green by 5 since I think they're seniors will leave it on the floor.... but, it really wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Whiteoak advance.

Re: Green vs Whiteoak
I think this is the D4 matchup I would most like to see at The Sectional level.
Tournament has some early interesting games this year!!
I have a feeling...., and it’s telling me that I really don’t know as I watched Whiteoak vs Washington (step up in weight class) and didn’t see Green at all this year. Their win at SW with a healthy Webster roster shows their capability.
Good luck to both and I hope it’s as entertaining as most of us believe it will be be.

Re: Green vs Whiteoak
People have slept on Green all year for whatever reason. Kimbler missed a few games leading to a few losses, but they have wins over Coal Grove and South Webster on their resume. With that said, Green definitely got a tough road to Regionals, starting with this game.*

Re: Green vs Whiteoak
As long as Green is healthy... they should win this game. I’ve seen both teams and Whiteoak didn’t do well against a lesser team. I felt if Whiteoak gets pressed by a decent defensive team it’s over. However it’s tournament time and best of luck to both teams. I’ll be watching from center court.
In youth we learn. In age we understand.

Re: Green vs Whiteoak
Anyone remember the baller Whiteoak had back around '97 or '98? My dad and I were trying to remember his name and I think it was Joby or something similar...
Re: Green vs Whiteoak
Jobey Lucas? Also a Joey Barnett who graduated in 98 or 99 and he was a 1,000 scorer.
Re: Green vs Whiteoak
Jobey is a great guy. I’ve worked with his mom for 21 years. I have his daughter in class and she is great. Jobey had a tree stand accident that nearly took his like and he is in a wheelchair...but that doesn’t slow him down at all.
Great guy and family
Re: Green vs Whiteoak
I hate to hear that about his accident, but good that he's a great person. He was quite the ball player back then...that Green team was loaded and he (or they) gave them all they could handle. He's the only one I could remember specifically.
Re: Green vs Whiteoak
After that year Whiteoak spent about 10 straight years at the Convo with 3 district titles, a final 4 and a regional runner up. Great great run.....they’ll be back soon, maybe this year but they’ll have a big run in I’ll guess 2 years
