Sitting here in my car reflecting on the game. BH wasnt a super team by no means. They were disciplined, and played within themselves. Very soild on defense and did nothing to beat themselves.
On the other hand CG didnt come out with te fire that I expected them to with the magnitude of this game at hand. They basically played the same style ball they played sll year. Im not sure thst was the best thing to do against this team. I big games against good teams you gotta play defense and rebound. I think the Hornets lacked in that cstagory tonight.

Coal Grove is definitely good and the best D4 team in SE Ohio. I'm rooting hard for you guys! I hope you guys can beat them.

Is Coal Grove better than New Boston?

In my personal opinion, yes. That's not a knock on NB, both solid teams. But I would give a slight edge to Coal Grove.

Well, on a good note they did find a way to get Africentric out of the SE region now if they could just get Hiland back to the NE where they geographically belong and get Harvest Prep up to Bowling Green in both boys and girls that would be a gift from the basketball gods and would at least assure that a true SEO team would make it to states yearly. Probably won't happen in the near future though !!!!!

We would gladly like to be playing in Canton a 40 minute trip,then 2hrs and 45min. trip one way,I guess that's what the competitive balance did, for all the changes, but I know one thing for sure the guys like playing at the Convo, Glenwood doesn't go very deep on the bench maybe two guys for what I seen tonight

I was just reading our local newspaper online about the game tonight we out rebounded Coal Grove 45-19 that's unreal,we have out rebounded about 95percent of the teams we have beat this season, but never by a margin like that

Yep, I bet Lowellville, Richmond hts, Badger, Open Door, Bristol, Windham , McDonald and a few others were happy when you had to go South !!!!!

That is quite a huge advantage. Your coach started subbing with newbies with about 6 min. left and a lot of frosh and sophs got some good minutes and were productive also.

If last night was the first time you've seen Coal Grove don't base your opinion off that. Hiland is a different type of animal. They'll do the exact same thing to New Boston.

I go pretty often to Sugar Creek and New Philly area and used to go there when my son rodeoed.(he did that for 11 years7 years pro,bulls,bareback saddle broncs) one thing I noticed was that Hiland and Caraway schools are really close distance wise. Do they share middle schools or elementary schools.

No ,no way would they share anything, there's no love lost between these two schools, probably 10 miles separate them, but then again there have been a lot of marriage couples from Sugarcreek and Berlin ,then there's that battle where there kids will go-to school
