Duke Basketball 2009-2010

Post by Cameron34Crazie34 »

With the departure of Paulus, Mclure, Henderson, and Elliot Williams and the additions of Ryan Kelly, Mason Plumlee, and Andre Dawkins what do you think about their chance this season?

My Projected Starting 5

John Scheyer
Nolan Smith
Kyle Singler
Brian Zoubek
Lance Thomas

also Andre Dawkins and Miles Plumlee could see some starts!

GO DUKE!

If Z is starting then you are in for a very long year.

I expect from all reports that one of the Plumlees will start.

Z will get his PT but he is not up to par to start, that is unless he has gotten better this off-season. Going to miss Henderson's explosivness but this is Duke and Coach K will "do work" and have them in the tourney and who knows what will happen then.

I was listening to Coach K today and he said that both Plumlee brothers will start. Duke will be more up tempo this season---think the Dallas Mavs.

Yea I heard the same thing. Thank God they are getting Zoubek out of there. The Plumlee kids have some upside to them along with Kelly and Andre Dawkins. Man Andre is going to be fun to watch!

Starting 5 from a Coach K interview on ESPN

Nolan Smith
John Scheyer
Kyle Singler
Miles Plumlee
Mason Plumlee

Coach K's "6th Starter" according to him
Lance Thomas

He also said Dawkins, Zoubek, and Kelly to get considerable playing time.

IT WILL BE A LONG SEASON FOR THE FLUKE BLUE DEVILS,
THERE RECORD DIDNT SHOW HOW PITIFUL THEY WERE LAST
YEAR . COACH K IS ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER BUT I WONDER
IF HES LOSING A BIT OF HIS MAGIC. I WILL BE SURPRISED IF
THEY FINISH IN THE TOP 4 IN THE ACC THIS YEAR.

GO HEELS!!!! M.J. THE GREATEST EVER

I seriously doubt it will be a long season for Duke. They start 5 McDonald's All-Americans. The ACC is rebuilding this season after watching UNC, Duke, and Wake lose their best players. I think Duke has lost their edge in recruiting a bit since Roy came to Chapel Hill, but IMO Coach K is still the same.

I would be a little worried about your Tar Heels who will be replacing virtually their entire starting line up. I will be very very surprised if Duke finishes any lower then 2nd in the ACC.

Duke was awful last year? Really? Was it me or did Duke win the ACC Tournament last season? They were not a great team IMO, but they were a sweet 16 type of team.

I don't think the tar heels will have any problem except experience...they only have one senior this year if im not mistaken and thats marcus ginyard and then theyre returning a potential top 3 pick in ed davis, tyler zeller a 7fter, and larry drew and then you have a top 5 recruiting class with dexter strickland the wear twins and others....they do have a rough schedule with ohio state, possibly syracuse then kentucky...michigan state and texas

I hate UNC. I used to like them, but then I figured out their fan base in basketball resembles Ohio States in football.
