No I'm not being bias, Duke does have some good players but 130-97 overall UNC vs. Duke thats being owned
an yes the numbers are close 7-5 32-35 but is what im trying to say no matter how it goes UNC has beaten
Duke more an has produced a better team than Duke. North Carolina is a better NCAA College Basketball Team.
The facts are there look at them an just understand Duke isnt as good as North Carolina, what have they done

Yes UNC owned Duke when they were awful. Congrats. That is like saying OSU or UM has owned say North Western.

Yes UNC was better last season. Good thing for Duke is, this is a new season.

Last decade Duke had 3 NC with 4 NC appearances---UNC had 1NC.
This decade it has been UNC with 2 NC, while Duke has only 1.

There is not a big difference in the last decade IMO.

Peake your just not understanding very well. UNC has always been better thank Duke I dont care if its by 2 games or so they have always been better thats not being bias thats stating the facts its like 130-97 overall anyway you look at it Duke is 2nd best to UNC. Give me one reason why you believe Duke is better than UNC show facts. Just face it Duke cant live up to the expectations because there set to high an they keep underachieving an thats the truth.

I live right here in the Triangle. I understand the rivalry very well. I was at the game at Duke last year.

UNC is #2 all time in wins---Duke #4

Duke has won 3 national titles and been to 14 final fours---UNC has won 5 national titles and appeared in 18 final fours.

There is not much difference IMO.

From 1997-2003 UNC won only 5 of 19 games against Duke.

From 1921-28 UNC 16 straight. Very impressive. Like I said, a lot of these wins came when Duke was AWFUL!

From 1955-61 UNC won 15 of 19. YOu can start to see that since Coach K has taken over this series is MUCH tighter then you think.


From 1972-77 UNC won 16 of 18. So you have a great point----from 1920ish to 1979 UNC owned Duke. BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT then a man by the name of K came along.

UNC went through what may have been the greatest era of UNC basketball in the 80's, and K was able to win 9 of 20 in the 80's.

1988-1992: 2 National Titles, 2 Final Fours, and an NCAA Runner-up.

In the 90's Duke lost 14 of 24 to UNC, yet out did them in NC and ACC Titles. UNC did win a NC, but Duke won back to back NC, won 7 ACC Titles, and appeared in two National Title Games.

Since 2000 Duke has won 14 of 23 games against UNC. Duke has 3 Regular Season Titles and 4 ACC tourny Championships.

Since K took over Duke has won more games overall.

I didn't see it mentioned in there anywhere after peake asked, so I'll answer.

UNC's 1st national championship was in 1957 to go along with the titles in 1982, 1993, 2005, and 2009.

Since Coach K arrived at Duke---UNC has won 13 ACC Regular Season Titles---Duke has won 12.

Since 1990 Duke has won 10 ACC regular Season Titles---UNC has won 7

Since Coach K arrived at Duke---UNC has been to 11 Final 4's---Duke has been to 10.

Since Coach K arrived at Duke---UNC has been to 4 NC---Duke has been to 6

Duke have more overall wins and a better win % then UNC since Coach K has arrived.

Since Coach K arrived at Duke---UNC has 9 AAC Tourny Titles---Duke has 11

When's the most recent memory of Duke actually doing anything? 2001 National Championship, in the past 4 years UNC has gotten 2 while let me refresh your mind 2006-2007 loosing to Virginia Commonwealth out first round 2007-2008 lost to West Virginia out 2nd round 2008-2009 lost badly to Villanova in the sweet sixteen. I'm done with all of this though I believe UNC is the better team you disagree an think Duke is, guess we will find out this year when the team's meet this year.

I am not defending that Duke has had some struggles in the NCAA Tourny lately, but it does not diminish their accomplishments in the regular season. That same Villanova team went to the final four. I really do not get your point.

Roy Williams is a great coach and recruiter. Duke will have to step up their recruiting efforts now because of Williams.

I'm not trying to screw anything up, I didnt come on here an say Duke sucks, I respect Duke as a program I mean they have the most wins in this decade im just saying that UNC has been the better team of late not just from the Duke vs. UNC game but overall the 2 championships coming with the last 4 years, I give respect when respect is due. I understand the points your making not wanting to fight about who is better because no matter what your always going to think Duke is the better program. Its just recent years show they have a good season then fall in the tourney early. Maybe all this talk back an forth is because your a Michigan fan an im a Buckeyes fan, hey its the 2 biggest rivals. I have alot of respect for the Duke program an Coack K though I mean he is one of the best coaches in College Basketball if not the best right now, an he's led USA to a gold medal so I cant say anything about that. I wish Duke the best of luck an I cant wait to see both games this year, after alot of rebuilding at UNC an some rebuilding at Duke, I think its going to be a tough game an even though I'm a UNC fan I think we may loose both games because lack of experience.

Yeah it has been really close, your team is def. going to be putting up alot of 3's, I like Singler an Scheyer alot. I'm really liking Thompson,Davis,Ginyard, an Larry Drew but im not so fond of Zeller, the kid is weak he needs toughened up some. Plus we lost alot of speed that we have from last year so this is going to be a pretty different ball team this year. You guy's added a couple 6'10 guys an we added a couple of twins literally both 6'9. Size wise you guys have a little advantage an probably a little more speed. You guys should go far this year.
