Don’t know much about Athens but from what I’ve seen so far they have some serious offense and score a lot of runs. Minford is really good. This would be a fun one to watch.

I’ll take a split if at Minford and an Athens sweep at Athens. Minford is great but think Athens offense too much. Minford’s speed is a factor though.

Athens can always bring up Matters and Ginder from the JV team.
They both are probably varsity players (pitchers) on most teams anyway.

2 of the best teams in the area. Should be a great doubleheader. Lots and lots of speed and offense could be on display if they are both deep into their staffs.

Minford has their 1-2-3 & 4 available for Saturday and play Northwest on Monday that they just mercy ruled in 5 so I believe you may be a little off.

Athens loads the bases in the 11th with one out and comes up with none. Shultz comes up with a line drive hit to center field in the bottom of the 11th with two outs to drive in the winning run

Yeah, from what I was told by parents who were at the game, not only did they not play the 2nd - they may never schedule minford again.
