Want a cookie? This wasn't exactly a revolutionary prediction.
Congrats to Coach Miller, good choice by the streaks admin.

Happy for Piketon, and for Kyle! Great fit
Making offers you can't refuse
Re: Head Coaching Vacancies
Congratulations to Head Coach Kyle Miller @ Piketon ... great hire for the Red Streaks ... lots of talent STILL at Piketon returning for next season ... I thought "2 seasons" ago that the Red Streaks had talent in the pipeline - as I was impressed with the JV team at that time - lots of "SE Ohio" size in that group of kids ... still looking for PHS to do well on the hardwood for Coach Miller @ the Oven ... hopefully the Piketon Tip Off tourney continues again this coming year - I had the opportunity to get a look at some teams early in the season that I normally don't see until later on if at all ... Best of Luck with the "summer season" and your initial PHS command this coming December ! - pfloyd

My pals at Western Pike tell me they are in the process of making a big-time splash hire.

What would be considered a big time splash hire?Basketball:30 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:12 am My pals at Western Pike tell me they are in the process of making a big-time splash hire.

Hmmmmm .... I’m not sure that would be considered a “Big Splash”. Yes ... it would be a good hire but far from a big splash. My Chilly connections said Tuesday night at the Board meeting it will be announced!

Re: Head Coaching Vacancies
Gotta figure Bradford still wants to coach as he applied for the West job and didn't get it, so he's been at Burg as an assistant for Ater last couple of years. Think he'd still be a good fit at most SOC I or SOC II schools should a job come open in next few years.*Tartanblue wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 6:09 pm Could we see Travis Bradford try to get one of the jobs open?

I haven't heard Shoemaker's name yet. Would he be the "splash" that Western is trying to make?

Don't see that happening with Shoemaker's kid getting ready to enter junior high at Minford along with great talent around him (best 6th grade team in area).*Myra Fleener wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 1:52 pm I haven't heard Shoemaker's name yet. Would he be the "splash" that Western is trying to make?

If they announce tonight at the board meeting I'm betting it is someone with ties to the area but not coaching in the area at the moment.

Well the cat is out of the bag. Western has hired Doug Williams as their Varsity basketball Coach! Congrats to Doug and the Western Indians!
Re: Head Coaching Vacancies
Glad to see Doug coming back to Pike County, I would definitely consider this a big splash hire for Western. Hopefully Doug is the long term coach Western has been looking for, it's nice seeing local guys coach both Western and Piketon!

Re: Head Coaching Vacancies
Definitely a good hire for Western. They seem to hire quality coaches every time the job is open.
