Now Lets talk about Jim Tressel. He has beaten Michigan all but one time since he has been a coach at Ohio State but he seems to cost them a lot of Big non-conference games like the game vs. USC. He just don't know how to win big games.

No. We don't need a known thug in high school like Alex Daniels. Who then went and proved it with criminal acts at Minnesota, even being kicked off the team. Sorry. I'll take some lumps without being win at all costs like Kelly.

Let him play the same role as ted ginn

I think Tressel should quit calling the plays. That would probably help the offense a little bit because JT is too conservative. He trys to find ways not to lose and not trying to make plays to try to win.

What you going to take this year cause theyre not going to be 10-2.
Can you say 8-4 and no BCS bowl game?

"Yes, and I'll even throw in a loss to Michigan in the Capital Freaking One Bowl while using a Heisman-winning QB." -Urban Meyer circa 2007

If it happens more than once every few years, I'll jump on board. Remember, 2001 and what followed. Remember 2004 and what followed.

Tressel will be around for 20 years unless he does something stupid.
Look, OSU offense starts 3 soph and a jr on the O-line. They start a soph QB who they can't decide if they want to run him or pass him. They start a soph WR in Posey, sometime Freshman Carter or a JR in Sands. They start a soph RB but now hes hurt. These starters didn't even play last year except for TP. Defense, new LB, new CBs. I honestly thought TP would be gone after 3 years. Now, I think its safe to say he will be at OSU for 4 years to prove he's a QB and not a WR in the NFL.

"Insiders" say he'll stick around for 5-10 years tops.. but we'll see.

To the guy who said wins against UM used to mean something, I disagree entirely. I enjoy and savor each and every win over Michigan. I suggest you do as well, because the run we've had won't last forever.

Someone please tell me what OSU did between 1970 and 2000 that makes you think JT is hurting this program in the least. Please inform me of the multiple national titles and constant wins over Michigan.

Yes it could. Plus, JT won't continue to beat UM "every year." Though, he already lost once in 2003, so it hasn't been every year. Playing UM even is what should be expected, and anything over .500 is a nice job by the coach and his staff.

So, losing this year would not mean JT's success against Michigan is over. He has already lost to them once, and the claims were made then that the dominance (albeit short at that time) was over. However, losing to UM this year will be bad timing with the fans. They will behave like chicken littles and proclaim the JT world has ended. Ala, 2003 and into the 6-4 start of 2004. <---- How soon moronic fans who want JT hosed now forget those days.

JT had just lost to UM in 2003, which cost OSU a NC shot, as they were going if they beat UM.
JT started the season 3-3, and then was 6-4 going up against UM.
Oh, and UM had locked up a Big Ten title in 2004 already.
Boy, were the chicken little morons proclaiming that JT's success was over. I remember it well.

Good post Orestes. I think JT will be here for awhile unless he goes 3-9 or something. Buckeye fans are spoiled with all the success in the regular season in recent years. He does irk me and many OSU fans with his old school coaching style but I still have faith in him and will continue to until he turns into Lloyd Carr. We'll see what happens but I think we will be right back in the thick of things next year. We should be VERY good the next couple of years.

Orestes a lot of Ohio St. fans don't remember the 2003 season cause they wasn't fans, then alot of fans have jumped on board of the JT train. But they are the ones that jump right off says after a lost to OSU. I am a Michigan fan and I know a true OSU fan when I see one, if ya get what I am saying.

I still see no problem with Jim Tressel, and people are criticizing him too soon, the man consistently leads Ohio State to a one loss or two loss record, and a BCS berth. Only thing I would change about it is, make him a little less conservative.

But if I had too, I would take one of three people:
Frank Solich - Ohio - Reason being he revived Ohio Football to their first bowl berth in years, and has them on track to win the MAC East this year. He has proven he is a good head coach by his National Championship Ring with the Cornhuskers, and only reason he was let go was due to a drunk driving charge.

Brian Kelly - Cincinnati - Has brought Bearcat football to the national scene, and made them arguably the best team in the state of Ohio, and in the Big East.

Mark Dantonio might be willing to come back to Ohio State or Urban Meyer might want to coach the team he loved growing up.

Why would Meyer leave the situation he is in? Florida puts out a top notch team every year and is a contender for the NC every year.

Oh, by the way, no way OSU loses to Michigan. Tressel and the Bucks will continue that dominance. Tater Forcier will be running for his life all game long.
