The Athens Bulldogs return to the diamond and on 970wath Thursday when they welcome the Zane Trace Pioneers to Rannow Field for the D2 sectional championship on The Plains. Nate Trainer pitched a 5 inning no hitter and Eli Kennedy was 4-for-4 at the plate as Athens downed Vinton County 10-0 in the semi-finals on Tuesday. Zane Trace meanwhile knocked off Gallia Academy 6-4 to pick up their 20th win of the season.
