Minford Football 2019
Very quiet in Falcon land, doesn’t appear to be much interest in the program which is disturbing.

Not many in the weight room.
Look for a 4 and 5 season this year. Prob. another year without 1 league win.

One would expect the program to take a leap back this year? This is year 4 in the new system, hopefully progress is seen.

The core players on the team are going to be really good I believe but lack of depth with hurt at some point this year. The thing that is killing minford is the lack of multi sport athletes and parents that think one sport specialization is the answer for everything. Then you have some who are around the athletes that play football and don’t let them lift because they think that weights hinders athletes abilities to play. Because we all know professional athletes don’t lift during say basketball or baseball.

The kid rumored hasn’t played since 7th grade and is solely basketball because he wasn’t going to start over the Lewis boy ever in high school.

I think Minford could sneak into 3rd place this year behind Waverly and Burg.
Lewis will be a very good QB and they have very good receivers to throw to.....but the question mark will be on the o line and running game.
There hasn't been much progress since the start of the Ruby era (offensively). Is this a make or break year?

Seats getting hot, I think the regime needs to return to the playoffs and this year.

Surely in this day and age even in muletown people don’t believe that lifting weights hurts kids in anyway. Do you guys not have the internet out there?BondRoad Bandit wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 4:52 pmThe core players on the team are going to be really good I believe but lack of depth with hurt at some point this year. 1-16 Pendleton broke Wheelersburg Football RIP 55-0

If the Falcons or any team hasn’t put the work in the weight room to get stronger by now , it’s game over. I’ll say 5-5

You would be surprised what some parents and coaches think they know haha I’ve been at basketball games where I’ll ask people does that kid lift and they say no because they don’t want it to effect his shot.fbnut wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 3:46 pmSurely in this day and age even in muletown people don’t believe that lifting weights hurts kids in anyway. The team and the kids that are on it have been working very hard this year. Also been hearing that the coaches opened up summer workouts to Jr. high players to get them more involved and working out with the older guys.
