OSU's last three Bowl losses were to the national champs (Florida then LSU) and a pretty darn good Texas team, which OSU had on the ropes until a DB gambled late. When two good teams play, one must lose, and unfortunately the Buckeyes have lost three straight BCS games.

Ohio State's losses to Florida and LSU were national humiliations to anyone who calls themselves an Ohio State fan. They showed in those two games that their program wasn't all it was cracked up to be. You have a choice here; you can either blame it on poor coaching or you must admit that the recruits OSU has been getting aren't all they're cracked up to be. Personally, I think it's a little bit of both.
Texas couldn't have carried Florida's jockstrap last year. They had no defense to speak of and OSU should have beat them, but this time Tressel and his gang rip the hearts out of thousands upon thousands of OSU fans all over the world in the final minute of play.
Sorry, but the last three losses haven't been merely tough losses, but public embarrasments to all who wear scarlet and gray. They've taken OSU from serious contender status to the laughing-stock of big-time college football. The pollsters now avoid ranking OSU too high and it's obvious they are on a mission to keep them out of the top 10. So instead of being taken seriously by folks, the Buckeyes are now avoided like a plague. They're being treated like the Boisie States and Utahs of college football get treated - they move up very slowly, but fall very rapidly after a single loss.

Florida loss, yes. Embarrassing. They were over-confident, disinterested, and thus unprepared. If you think that OSU was actually exposed and was the same team that we saw in November, then please pass what you are smoking. The other SEC/Big Ten results from 06 say otherwise.

LSU loss, only embarrassing because of the connection that was made between it and the UF loss. LSU was the favorite. They were injured all season, except for early when they beat VaTech 48-7. They also added a very good d-lineman that was suspended all year. OSU was young, had replaced key players all over the field, played horribly, and lost by 14.

You are wrong about the pollsters. In the coach's poll (the only one that matters) OSU is 8th. They are the highest ranked 2-loss team, and are also ranked higher than a 1-loss BCS conference team or two.

Otherwise, you are free to belittle all of the teams that OSU played closely. Likewise, if OSU wins the Rose Bowl, that opponent was most assuredly weak as well. If they lose, then just another black eye for Tressel.

So just like the haters and thin skinned bandwagon types that live up here in Columbus,
he'll bust on the Buckeyes for losing big, and bust on their opponents level when they win,
and never be happy with any form of growth.

Yet, bet your butt, will be singing the praises when they win a title in the next two years.

Blame it on poor coaching, poor recruiting, or a little of both. That's all it can be.

Again, blame it on coaching or the players. OSU should have won this game. Again, pounded by multiple scores. Again, embarrassed. They were never in the game after the 2nd quarter.

This is a VERY weak year in college football. Who else do the coaches have to put in the top 10? Someone has to be a place-filler. Might as well be the team with the biggest fan base.

Go ahead and bash from the back of the wagon,
just remember your negative words start cheerleading
when they do win the bowl game and the title.
