Final: Wellston 44 Piketon 22
Final: Wellston 44 Piketon 22
Alright on to week 2, Wellston at Piketon. My understanding is this will be Piketons first game on new turf so they should come out amped up after a week 1 win over south point. Wellston got to finish up a much needed end to a one sided rivalry. I see the Rockets struggling in a few of the same areas while continuing to get this new offense clicking but it should start coming together some more. Hopefully the Wellston D can pick up where they left off with Jackson in the 2nd half as they didn’t surrender any offensive points to Jackson. I’m gonna say Wellston takes it 21-14.

Re: Week 2: Wellston @ Piketon
I think Wellston will like having time to breathe on offense and will get loose some. I like Wellston in this matchup
Re: Week 2: Wellston @ Piketon
I think this one will be a close game, Piketon got a nice win in week 1 against a weaker opponent and Wellston's defense was able to play some solid ball with the exception of a few plays. Going to take Wellston in this one but won't be surprised at all to see Piketon take home the W opening up on the new field.

Re: Week 2: Wellston @ Piketon
This will be a good ballgame. Wellston played solid against a good Jackson team and Piketon got it’s first week 1 win since 2012. With this being Piketon’s first game on the new turf I’m sure they’ll be juiced and ready go. I’ll take Piketon in a close one 28-21.

Re: Week 2: Wellston @ Piketon
Going with Piketon at home. They should be able to handled the run game and with little hint of a passing game, their defense should be just fine.
28-15.
28-15.

Wellstons passing game won't change much without a different game plan for the qb, or a position change.

Re: Week 2: Wellston @ Piketon
Wellston s D looked pretty strong, did a pretty good job of controlling the LOS. If Piketon can stay balanced in the run/pass game it should be a close contest. Let’s Go Streaks!

This is an important game for both teams. Rockets will be fired up to play the Redstreaks. Passing game will open up the run.It will be a good game but if Rockets remain focused they should win.

Wellston gets on roll with a win. Won't play another team close to the level of Jackson until Athens comes to town.

Re: Week 2: Wellston @ Piketon
Piketon will be fired up to defend their newly home turf field....but the golden rockets coming off not a bad performance against Jackson...…a lot of people not giving the rockets offense much credit now..... but those that don't give them credit.... are comparing them to Jackson's defense. The redstreaks defense maybe good but they aren't a Jackson defense for sure. Wellston wont see another defense all year like they did against Jackson. that said I believe the rockets come in well prepared and hungry to put some points on the board....give Molihan just a smidge of an opening to get in and he's got a burst of speed that will make ya pay...…look for the rockets to be the home spoiler for the redstreaks opening game on new field..

My head says Wellston has the edge in this one, but my heart says the Red Streaks build off of last weeks win and bring home the win in the newly renovated, yet still unnamed, stadium. GO STREAKS!!!!
