Re: WK 2: Nelsonville-York (0-1) @ Fort Frye (1-0)
I heard NY offensive coordinator is ex Fed Hock coach. If that is true he was about 0-40 at Fed so I doubt you will see any offense from him. I think he has proven he doesn't have the ability to call plays in a football game.

FF will win this one going away. NY has no where near the talent that they will be facing up in Beverly in Friday. Cadets win big.

I have heard this as well. I don’t know his name, but I heard he was Rusty’s buddy and brought him in to put in this new and “improved” no huddle offense. Obviously worked out pretty well...

4 starters remain for Fort Frye from the playoffs vs Nelsonville in 2017
Rb/OLB Tyler Fisher 3 year Starter
MLB/ G Isiah Jones 4 Year Starter
Wr/Cb Brady Schilling 3 year Starter
OLB Caden Fryman 3 Year Starter
Those boys want this game bad.

I’m not a buckeye at all but I think speak for the buckeye faithful when I say NY needs to line it up and run run run!! At least it looks like your trying to win football games that way!

Fort Frye will score however much they want to score. NY looks poor on offense and defense. By watching the Trimble game I think NY will be 4-6 or 3-7 unless they find a offense that suits them. Personally I think NY wasn’t physical at all, maybe it was intimidation from Trimble, or maybe they are all finesse. Either way NY has to find themselves. Hopefully NY can turn it around in a week. I don’t like any team in SEO to fail.

NY will be down for a couple years, but there areBuckeyes1979 wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2019 5:02 pm8-2 9-1 NOT GONNA HAPPEN NY is in rebuild mode for the next few years for sure . Fort Frye is gonna be a tough one and I believe Berne Union will give them problems along with Athens. It honestly scares me looking into the future as buckeye I could see this program falling off big time I'll always be a fan tho!efarns wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2019 3:28 pmNY BUCK wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2019 2:20 pm NY has the talent to go 8-2, 9-1. I see NY losing this game but after this one I can see them running the table to another week 10 showdown for the title against Athens. If we get out of this no huddle shotgun offense we can win this game if not, Fort will name the score
I am wondering if, after he got behind, Rusty decided to save some things for next week?
Are some good classes on the way. As for this year ... #3 should be in a deep shotgun ( like jay edwards )

Much respect for both programs. Right now, Fort Frye is rolling. They graduate and replace, a lot of depth. They only thing I will say about the Belpre game is that Belpre was missing 4 starters for various reasons. Does Belpre win vs FF with them? No, but they would have been more competitive and thus a closer score. And yes, FF had a few missing also so maybe its a wash.EasternDspy wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2019 11:01 am The Belpre vs Fort Frye game was so deceiving. 1. Fort Frye was missing Isiah Jones a 4 year Starter. 2. They lost Braden Medley and were missing both guards and 2 huge components to that defense. 3. Belpre had one good quarter. They scored on an 80 yard run and scored after a long punt return. After that they barely could get a 1st down. Isiah is back that will strengthen the middle of the defense. Belpre only had 20 yards the entire 2nd half. Medley and Jones pulling will be a huge upgrade as well. Fort Frye defense will be really good.
Anyway, Calpreps is a pretty prediction.
I will take the Cadets -21 for you Vegas types.
Good luck and good health to both teams.

Yea Fort Frye was missing it’s best player and heart in the middle on both sides of the ball. Every year forever it seems like Belpre plays with Fort close in the first half. They really only had about 4 good plays all night on the Fort Defense.

Yep. But we will improve as the season continues. It is a real bear playing the 2 best teams (Fort Frye and Trimble) on your schedule in weeks 1 and 2 as we have for what seems like a decade.EasternDspy wrote: Mon Sep 02, 2019 1:16 pm Yea Fort Frye was missing it’s best player and heart in the middle on both sides of the ball. I hope the Cadets stay healthy and represent Washington County and SE Ohio in another deep post season run.
Oh, and will the powers that be in the TVC please ask Fort Frye and Warren to join our conference? This should be a no brainer.
Re: WK 2: Nelsonville-York (0-1) @ Fort Frye (1-0)
This will be a tough game, specially if we use the same game plan as I have said before. Down or not after this game every game is winnable/should win up to week 10. We will improve each week. A league title showdown and playoff opportunity is still very possible after starting 0-2. Hope both teams stay injury free in this one.
